Rootbeer floats - know any secret spots?

DS is always screaming for a rootbeer float! Especially when he's hot and needs a break in the parks. I love finding out-of-the-way places to sit and enjoy a float.

Two of our favorites are Sleepy Hollow in MK (such a great none-busy place) and the stand in Epcot that is right before the Autralian Outback store in World Showcase.

Does anyone else have a little place off the beaten path to snag a rootbeer float and a shaded seat?

I think you can get them at the Tune-Inn Lounge, right next to the 50's Prime Time Cafe in MGM.

DH loves them made with chocolate ice cream and the best ones so far is the place in Tomorrowland, across from Indy 500 and next to the gift shop, right before Stitch

Since your username is Harambe, you should be pleased to know you can get them in the village of Harambe in the AK, at Tamu Tamu Refreshments, right across from Tusker House.

Thanks guys! And I didn't know about the place in Harambe! What a hoot! We'll definately be stopping there. I think I didn't know about that place because I am always in the Dawa Bar . . . LOL!

So now I have places in each park - great!!!!!

Anyone else have a favorite hidden root beer float destination?

Well, you can get them at Beaches and Cream....just a short walk through the international gateway in EPCOT.

You can get them at Aloha Isle at the MK (is this where cheryl3p was talking about maybe?), but I always get a Dole Float instead. There's a lovely area near there where you can sit and listen to the music. Some of the seating is near a smoking area, but there's a lot of regular seating there, too.

I don't know the name of the place, but it was almost right across from the Swiss Family Treehouse. It was good, but melted sooooo fast!!!

Absolutely right!! This is the VERY best place! But we haven't tried them with chocolate ice cream!

Okay - I know where that place is across from the Speedway. We don't tend to dwell in Tomorrowland since it seems to be sunnier than other areas of the park (just looking at those wicked metal trees makes me wilt!), but if you guys say it's good (and I'd be up for trying the chocolate ice cream! LOL!), we could give it a try!

I only ever had my rootbeer floats with vanilla but on our first date DH took me to Dairy Queen after the movies.....freaked me out when he ordered one with chocolate ice cream, I mean I was ready to ditch the guy ha ha! After one taste I was hooked forever, it is sooooo good!!!
