I am considering taking my family to WDW but I have 3 adults and 2 9yr olds and when I search resort & ticket packages on the WDW website, I don't see any rooms that will fit us all. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? I'm wanting to stay within a value or moderate resort price range. Thanks in advance.

Port Orleans Riverside. The AB section has a trundle bed and those rooms sleep 5.

Also consider two value rooms that connect.

We are a family of 6, and love the FW Cabins!:thumbsup2 Lots of room, and don't need to worry about the kids disturbing hotel guests because of paper thin walls, or other guests disturbing the kids!

More towards the deluxe price point. I would do 2 rooms at POP with your situation. Best of luck.

Hi there..

Hopefully I can give you some help here.. The All Star Music Resort has "family suites" that can sleep up to 6 guests. You can check them out on the following website: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/resorts/asm.htm

The article says: Two rooms that can accommodate up to six guests. The Master bedroom has a King bed, desk and TV. The Main sitting area has a TV and a sofa that opens into a double bed and a chair with ottoman that converts into two single beds.
The All Star Resort suites include a kitchenette with under counter refrigerator, microwave, sink and coffeemaker. There are two full bathrooms with separate vanities.

Also, you could look into booking 2 connecting rooms at any other value/moderate resort that you might like. We have decided to go with CBR and have requested that we get 4 connecting rooms (as we will be travelling with my ENTIRE family - 9 adults and 6 children) :)

You should visit: www.wdwinfo.com or www.allears.net
They are both really helpful websites and made my search a lot easier..

Good luck and have a wonderful vacation!

pics of what Family Suites look like.

JUst an FYI

The photos posted on that site are of a model Disney desided NOT to use. Those photos have 2 fold out chairs and only 1 bathoom. Disney decided to keep the 2 bathrooms and have a foldout ottoman instead of two foldout chairs.

For updated photos of the Family Suite please see the photos I posted from the DIS site on post number 1 of the FAQ thread on the sticky of this page:

DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) last Sept. (2006)

We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no meatle bar to hurt the sleepers back.

I would suggest for a family of 5 to stay at Port Orleans Riverside over any of the Vaule resorts.

Situation.

We booked one room at POR. It was by far the cheapest for a family of five. It is very disappointing that we can't stay at Wilderness Lodge or Animal Kingdom for a decent price. Deluxe rooms are the only ones that hold five and they start around $500 per night. We are staying for 7 night and we are paying around $875.00 ($125 per night).

:cool2:

Thanks so much for all your suggestions. That really did open up my options. It's really difficult to get two rooms simply because of my situation. So it's great to know there are rooms that would accommodate us all. Thanks again! :thumbsup2

You could stay in a deluxe Contemporary; 2 Queens & Daybed....that's the cheapest deluxe option I believe. Value is $250. Poly is same idea but it's >$300 per night.

The difference between POR and the Contemporary are 2 double beds vs. 2 queens and a little trundle bed vs. a twin day bed. Since you have 3 ADULTS & 2 9 YEAR OLDS, you might be cramped in POR. Just my humble opinion. Don't forget the MONORAIL also. :O)

OH and don't forget the Ft. Wilderness Cabins....they're $250 a night also!

Just wanted you to know there are DELUXE Options <$500 per night! Since my idea of 2 value rooms won't work.
