room service hours?

I know room service is basically 24 hours (except the last morning). But, what time do they switch to breakfast? And during breakfast hours you can only order the continental breakfast type food, right? I could see my DS getting a hot dog in the morning (no, seriously!) but I am guessing that it's only served after a certain time, right? So I'll probably just get the cold breakfast food and then go get some hot buffet food and bring it back to the room for the kids some days. Just wondering...

I'm not sure if they have specific hours when things are available. It doesn't hurt to call and ask. I know one morning on one of our cruises I had gone up and brought breakfast back from Topsiders but DH wasn't that hungry. He often has soup at home so called room service and asked for some soup. They brought it right away.

I would assume the items on the RS menu is available 24/7 (with the except of the last night), I know we've ordered cookies and chicken strips in the early am before...=o)

The breakfast card in my room for RS started at 6.00am and in 30 min slots, now once I ordered early in the Med for the long day in port and Breakie came at that time, but 6.00am is regular.

Thanks - still wondering. We also sometimes enjoy soup at breakfast (DH is Korean, I am Caucasian, and our kids are such a cute mix!). I don't do much traditional breakfast (except egg white omlettes myself, and COFFEE!) and kids will eat anything. DS is super hungry some days, and I would love to order him some filling food. Also, he has food allergies (dairy and egg) so I hope that they can provide more than juice for him. Skinny kid, we want to "fatten" him up. I'd love to get him a burger, fries, or a hot dog early in the morning if he wants it!

We have ordered non-breakfast foods at breakfast time from room service with no problem. You can also go up to Topsiders and bring more substantial breakfast food back to your cabin. DH and/or I sometimes do this while the kids are getting ready...particularly on port days. We order the tea/juice/milk from room service and then grab a couple of trays of waffles, breakfast meats, etc. from the buffet. We grab a couple of extra plates and we're all set!

Happy Sailing!
