Hello!! I just signed up for touring plans and found their room locator section. It says what to ask for a specific room location, but not how to ask. I've done online check in before but it doesn't let you request specifics. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this?

You can call Disney and have specific requests noted on your reservation. My rule of thumb is to ask for no more than three simple things and list in priority. For example, you could request a building location, room location. (For Poly, example would be third floor, Samoa, close to elevator - depending on your order of priority).

You can also do the Touring Plans fax request. It allows you to pick a room that you would like and then type in your preferences. I've done both and have had good luck.

We never suggest that you request a specific room number. But rather as DisneyWishes14 states general request. I usually request higher floor near elevator
Good Luck

Out of our past 3 trips, for the first 2 I made our requests when I called to make our reservation and had great luck. At the Poly in March, we actually got the room right next to the one I had requested. Last trip, we used the Touring Plans fax and got the building we requested and the direction we wanted to face, but the room was nowhere near the area of the building we wanted. I think next trip we will try the fax again, but also call and have the requests noted on our reservation.

TP has a fax service with that room locator. I'd use that.
And the beauty of it is it does not request a specific room but instead it uses the room you pick as a basis for requesting a room like that one, rather than that room. Very different.
