Room Requests VWL and OKW

Other than non-smoking are there any other things I need to be concerned about when making a room request (Don't need a crib or anything special). Can I request a specific room, etc? Does anyone have any suggestions for making this request? We are leaving in a week and a half for a 1 BR at OKW and VWL.

I would not request a specific room, since the room controller would not know why that room was requested if it is not available.

For OKW make general requests like:

Close to Hospitality House (main checkin)
Close to Quiet Pool
Close to Bus Stop
Close to Turtle Pond Rd area
Request 2nd Floor
Request 1st Floor
Request 3rd Floor


Whatever is most important to you.

Not having stayed at VWL, I'm sure someone will make some general suggestions for that resort

For OKW you could also request golf course or water view.

For VWL, we like the quiet pool/ lake view; however, those are hard to come by as there are so few of them. The hallways aren't extremely long, but next time I may request close to the elevators as our last visit was in the last 2BR down the long hallway and after a busy day - it seemed like quite a haul to our room!

For OKW, I would suggest waterview. Many of the golf views are surrounded by foilage, especially on the first floor. Our room in building 28 was dark and had very little view. After that, I requested waterview and we got great views in 31, 43 & 40.
