i'm staying at pop in january ((low season)) and was thinking of requesting:
1-4th floor
2-facing the lake
3-refurbished room?
4-king size bed!

also letting them kno im celebrating my 21st birthday!!!
BUTTTT-is this asking for 2 much:confused3?

How should i go about requesting:idea:????

:cool1:THANKS!!!! :thanks:

Figure out which request is most important to you and go from there. If it's a king bed, your chances of the other requests being filled gets pretty diminished as there aren't that many king rooms to begin with and how many have all of your requests?

I usually end up requesting 70's facing the lake and I've never been disappointed.

Happy Birthday in advance!:cheer2:

Also, all of the rooms should be refurbished by then, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Most of your requests are a little difficult to accommodate. I would suggest what the PP did and figure out what is most important. You really won't be in the room that much so view to me isn't so important. But, if I must have a King Room then I would just put that along with your special occassion information. When blocking rooms, it is a lot easier to accommodate one request than a series of them. Unless, you are a DVC member and a very frequent guest. :)

I agree with the previous posters.....put your requests in the order they are most important to you. I try to limit my requests to two so that I have a better possibility of getting them granted. If you booked your vacation through Disney, you can go online at www.disneyworld.com and click on My Disney Vacation. Simply enter your reservation number, last name, date of arrival and resort to pull up your information. If I am remembering correctly, you can add a celebration to your reservation information.

Thanks for the advice!!!!! and good to know the whole resort should be refurbished by then! im looking forward to the flat screens!

1) Way, way too much to request.
2) State your #1 and (maybe) your #2 request.

Also you may want to know that most if not all the king rooms are on the ground floor. Mainly because most of them are handicap rooms.
Not 100% sure of this...but pretty sure all are on the ground.

So of the king room and 4th floor I would choose what is most important and eliminate the other.

It is rule of thumb that the least amount of requests usually get filled. If you have over 3 they won't even try. This is what I heard on the boards here.

We've stayed at POP several times and enjoy a lakeside room and 4th floor. Non HC king rooms tend to be on the first 3 floors. As others have said, list your requests in order of importance - not more than 3 is best. We went the 2nd weekend in January 3 mos after POP opened and the resort was full! We've had 5 stays and our requests were met every time - we did talk to the CM at check-in each time, but everything was great. :) We've stayed at all the deluxe resorts many times (except WL) and POP has met our requests more often!

I'd suggest listing your requests (in whichever order you prefer):
1.4th floor
2.lakeside
3.king bed

Cal now and have the requests added to your reservation.:thumbsup2

When you check-in ask about your room before the CM makes up your keys - they will show you on map where it is located - if it is not what you hoped for, just ask if they could find a room that meets your requests and tell them what you would like. Most POP CM's are very helpful and I'll bet you get most or all of the requests.
Happy Birthday and have fun!!! :goodvibes
