Room Request

My family will be staying at the Grand Floridian with a Garden View. Can anyone recommend a particular building or room that I should request?

I want to know too. We are staying there for the first time--DH has always wanted to stay at the GF so he is elated. We just have a standard garden view.

We have a little boy with Down syndrome that can be quite exitable and loud at times. He doesn't talk so his noises are different than what people are used to hearing. Anyhow...I did put it in our reservations so that the CMs know. It was a bit of a problem when we stayed at the Poly earlier this year. The walls seemed so thin. I'm wondering if there is a noisier area or a corner room or building we should request. Noise doesn't bother us. We don't want to be a problem for others that are hoping for an extremely quiet area. Thanks!!!

We had a really quiet garden view room at GF in Feb. - it was in the Sago building on the 5th floor - Room 5528. We would get off the elevator and turn right down a short hallway(I think 4-6 rooms) and 5528 is at the end. Our view was of part of the lagoon and the monorail. This is a dormer room so the balcony is smaller and has a solid wood partition rather than a open railing. It was very quiet - we only heard people across the hall when they were in the hallway - and only when their little ones were using outside voices. We have found the soundproofing to be really great at the GF!

Sago Cay, marina view. It's still a garden view room for pricing, but you get a lovely, peaceful relaxing marina view. We have three small children and I never heard anything from the other rooms, and I hope nobody heard anything from ours. I wouldn't worry about the noise, most people are so tired at night it would really take a lot to bother them. Have a wonderful time.
