Room request HRH on Entert Rate?

Hi ALL!

First time at the HRH, with the entertainment rate, which I feel automaticly marks us with HRH Res. to locate us at a less desirable room location.

I am a reasonable person when it comes to getting what I pay
for. So on that note, I am open for suggestions as to which room we should request ahead of time or at check-in from HRH reservations.

We are a family of four (two tweens and two adults).

AAA and Lowes Card members.

If you could ref to this map, it would me very helpful!

Lastly, what WDW resort would be the same size as the HRH?
We think according to the map and our experience the Coronado Springs is close size wise.

I can't really help with room requests, because we just took what we got when we stayed. We had a deluxe room that overlooked the courtyard area, very convenient to the elevators, but also very quiet. We were also on the entertainment rate, but didn't feel that sentenced us to a bad room. As far as the size of the resort--it isn't any where close to the massive size of Coronado Springs. The lake at Coronado is about 15 acres with the resort arranged around this area. The total resort area for HRH is only about 19 acres, including all the landscaping, parking, etc. CSR has 1967 rooms. I'm not sure about HRH, but I think it is less than 800, maybe closer to 500. Everything is located in one building, unlike most of the Disney resorts--I would say it compares in size and type to either Yacht Club or Beach Club. It is a terrific hotel, with a great pool. The walk to the parks is great, and front of the line access can't be beat.

I would have to agree with NCRedding. Having stayed at the Beach Club, I would say it was similar in size to HRH. The standard rooms are also similar in size to Beach Club standard. Can't help about rooms, because when I went on the ent rate, I was with my sister who had to have smoking room. Not as much choice there. We did get switched, though, cause when we got into our room after 3:00, the carpets had just been shampooed and they were still wet.
