room request for AKL - getting there 1/1/08

We have a savanah view, and I really would like to be able to see animals and enjoy the room. I saws one thread today about noise level and lack of animals due to that. We will be there 1/1-1/4
Any suggestions for what to request, especially from those that have been there recently?

From all the reports that I have read, you should request the Arusha Savannah, Zebra Trail. The pool and restaurants are also on this side of the Lodge.

Agree ... that's where we stayed, and loved it.

We just got back from the AKL! It was wonderful. We were on the construction side and I have to say I saw the most animals on that side then all the times we have stayed. The staff said they haven't seen anything different in years so the snimals are drawn to the noise and new sights! We didn't hear anything. Even out on the balcony in the middle of the day wasn't bad. Hope this helps.
