Do you recommend a particular building or floor? We will have 3 adults with one baby. We have a basic plan so I am not sure what type of room options are available. I would love a quiet area. Of course, I would also love a view of the river, but I am sure that is probably extra. What can you guys tell me? ThankS

We stayed at POFQ last March, and it was marvelous! Our room was on the first floor of building 2. (I believe the room number was 2142?) It was a fabulous location because it was super close to everything. This particular room was a standard view. (Water view, Garden View, and River View Rooms are a little bit more in pricing.)

I've also read here that building 5 is a good location as well.

The resort is pretty small, so everything is relatively close together. Hope you guys have fun on your trip! We'll be there soon too! =)

We arrived home last night after 5 nights at POFQ. We had booked standard view, and requested first floor connecting rooms (knowing that not all requests are granted.) We were assigned third floor adjoining (not connecting) rooms in Bldg. 1. facing the parking lot, with a small buffer of trees to block the view of the cars.

It was not my most favorite location there (having been in bldgs 2, 3, 6 and 7 on previous trips, and I would probably pay the extra fee for a garden room next time.

My mom and I stayed at FQ April 2011 and the only request I made was close to food court and bus stop. We were given a room in Bldg 2 (2204). There was a lovely view of the courtyard and fountain. Each evening we would see the carriage rides that originate from Riverside. It was a perfect spot to call home after a long day of walking the parks.

We stayed at POFQ last Oct. I requested close to transportation and ground floor. We had the perfect room in blg. 4. We just had to cut through the rose garden and we were at the bus stop. We are going again this Oct, so I am going to request bldg. 4 again.

We have stayed in building 5 and thought it was perfect :dance3: It is a small, compact resort with gorgeous landscaping  All the rooms have completely renovated :woohoo: Have a magical time :tinker:

We've stayed in building 4and 7 both good. I wouldn't pay for a river view and the boats sound their horns regularly. I wouldnt go for building 6 river view because that where the campfire is. Anywhere else is great, I'd go back in a heart beat.

We stayed at POFQ shortly after it opened. It's a wonderful resort, and I would stay there again, but we're DVC now. We paid for a view of the river. I wouldn't do that again. These rooms do not have balconies, and we generally kept our curtains closed because of other guests walking past and looking in. So the only time we really enjoyed the nice view was when we were leaving and returning to our room. It wasn't worth the extra cost.

we've stayed at pofq 5 or 6 times. i don't think you really have to worry about what building you get, the resort is small and there is only one bus stop so no matter what you're a short walk from everything. it's why we love staying there. i think the only reason there to request a room close to say the pool would be if i had kids old enough to be going to the pool without a parent but not wanting them to far out of sight.
