No, it's not a thing for DVC rooms. All rooms must be vacated by 11. Hotels can do that because they often have 20-40% available rooms, except in very high season. DVC is a timeshare, so an occupancy near 98-100% daily all year.Vgc room was ready at 12:45 pm yesterdayWhen we stayed at BLT and arrived at like 10 AM they had a room ready as well
no issues here, except we've never been granted a late checkout, have asked twice, is that a possibility for dvc?
I'm inclined to be a little more forgiving because it's a timeshare---they don't have the same slack capacity that hotels often do.People always want to give a pass to Disney because of turnover.

I 100% agree.Honestly in my travels 4pm is already late in the day. If they need to hire more people then hire more people as it would make such a little difference to MFs likely. A random few times going past 4pm to like 5pm is fine. Rooms routinely being ready at 6/7/8pm that some people seemingly are fine with is really what I am talking about.
Each housekeeper is possibly $0.015-$0.025 per point. You hire more if you can't have the rooms ready by 4pm.
In the end the resorts I stay at it seem to never have this issue.
I kind of asked similar here https://www.disboards.com/threads/t...ashers-answer-the-poll.3966420/#post-66112623Does anyone know the process for DVC room cleaning? Do they remove all the cookware/flatware/glasses and replace with previously cleaned items, clean it all in room, or just look to clean what has been used? Just curious how much the kitchen items add to the room turnaround time for a DVC villa vs. a Disney hotel.
10 days until the Riviera for us......1 night in studio and then 7 in a 1 Bedroom. Fingers crossed for a early check in when we move.![]()
