Room Rates ?

I see on Disneyland.com that there is a 40% rate for some rooms through the end of September. Can I expect or hope for this rate for a room the end of October and when do discounts usually become available for the time of year?

Also, we hope to buy premier APs when we get there. We are going to arrive on 10/23 and stay at the Sheraton and then move to the GCH on the 10/26 to stay 4 or 5 nights. We will have the APs when we check in at GCH but not when I would book the room. Would we be eligible for an AP rate if available and how would I go about finding out about one if I don't have an AP in hand until just a few days before we check in?

The 40% room rates were a surprize for everyone here, so I doubt the 40% will be available but Disney is full of surprizes.

40% off is definitley a great deal. I wish the dates would have worked for us. WDW has offered a lot of great room deals recently and I wasn't sure if DL visitors were seeing some of the same discounts.

You can book at the AP rate without having the AP in hand. The standard discout is 10%, special rates may come out but they only post calendars 4 months at a time. You can always book it and change to a better rate as it comes out.
