Room Rate Change Question...

We're going in October, and most likely spending 4 nights at CSR before moving to BCV. If I make a room-only reservation now, and an AP rate becomes available for the time of my stay, can I apply the AP code to my existing reservation? Or do I have to make a new one & cancel the old one?

Part of me says hold off booking until I see if AP rates are even available. But on the other hand, I am willing to pay rack rate at CSR, and with so many conventions held there, I'm afraid to wait until the last minute to book.

What would you do?

Thanks!

Thanks! That was what I was hoping. The last time we went to WDW, I had to cancel & rebook. But that was going from a room-only ressie to the 7 for 5 package. That makes sense, tho.

Book what you are comfortable paying without a discount and when a discount comes out, you can apply it then.

That's exactly why I'm planning to make the ressie for CSR and not Poly LVC! If a great rate comes out, we may move to the WL or we may just apply that savings to our flight. Right now, flights from our local airport are high. Unfortunately, we don't have Southwest!
