Room questions at the BCV

We are staying at the BCV next year and I was wondering if they will let 5 stay in a 1 bedroom or will I have to get 2 studio's? I really don't want to spend all that on a 2 bedroom that is to much room for us.

A BCV one bedroom only has one king sized bed and one queen sized sleeper sofa. So it sleeps four. Plus there are only four bath towels, two hand towels and four face cloths. They may allow you the fifth person, but they won't provide the extra sleeping space or the extra bedding and linens. You'll have to do that yourself. So if you don't want to make someone sleep on the floor on an air bed, you'll need the two bedroom.

No twin sized sleeper chair in the BCV villas.

You do know that no studio connects to another studio, correct? If three of your guests are children, you'll have to split the adults up to use two studios.

I think the only one-bedroom units that sleep 5 are AKV and BLT.

They will let you book 5 in any of the one bedrooms. You just have to figure out where they will sleep.

Check out the "max occupancy thread" on here somewhere. In Mousecellaneous?

Depending on the age of the 5th person, you may be able to use the couch cushions on the floor to create sleeping space. Or you could bring a twin size airbed and a blanket. I'm sure you can find a way to make it work without moving to two studios. :thumbsup2

Not at BCV. Those cushions don't detach from the bed and the flip under the mattress to help support the bed. This sleeper sofa is the one where you flip the back of the sofa forward

The max occupancy on WDW's website shows 4. Do they ignore that for DVC owners?

Sometimes. But since they now have one bedroom villas that actually sleep five, they can always say no.

I just booked 6 in a one bedroom at BWV. MS took all our names and was fine with it. One of these is my little DD in a pack n play, so it is like I booked 5. (we're traveling with my sister for these 2 nights)

I figured 2 will be on the pull out and my DH and I will sleep with one of the kiddies in the King for these 2 nights before we move to OKW. (we have a 2 bd at OKW) I don't mind being squished for a couple nights in a 1 bd instead of a 2 bd. It will be just fine!:goodvibes

I agree with this--when I had the CM on the phone, I chose to take the 1 bd since she seemed totally cool in booking all of us in there. I figured I should take it since another phone call may not go as smoothly. I think the sleeper chair is a great addition to the 1 bds in some resorts.:thumbsup2

I think you were very lucky because normally they don't allow six (five plus one) in the one bedrooms that officially sleep four. They always said in the past just five and not five plus one.
