With buying tix from ticketmania (using mousesavers link) and a CAA 20% discount, this price was better then the package deal that came out a couple of weeks ago (even with factoring the cost of the CAA membership).

I am hoping for a room only code so I won't have to purchase the CAA membership.

I called yesterday afternoon and was told that more than likely there would not be a room only discount, that everything for the month of Jan. had been already released!! I'm so bummed! Not going to give up hope yet.

Well I am wondering if I should go ahead and purchase a CAA membership? I currently have a room only ressie (with a CAA discount) and think that perhaps there will be no general public room only discount codes released for Jan.

Any thoughts anybody??

I understand your dilemma. I went ahead and bought the membership. But, DH and I are driving so if anything happens to the vehicle or we get lost, I can call CAA. I also received a phone card from them for free, and some certificates I put towards the cost of the trip. There's also maps and a trip tik, which outlines our route with hotels, restaurants and gas stations. Also some of these places give CAA discounts.
For me it was worth it. I plan to use it for things other than Disney.
Also, if you plan to get travellers checks there is no charge...other than the exchange rate.

Well here it is the day after Thanksgiving, no room only code.

I'm going late Feb/early March so still hoping something could come out later.
