Hopefully this is posted in the right place - it does have to to do with future discounts.
What is the best way to book- room only or a package - if I want to use any discounts/codes that may come out? I priced tickets through UT and if we book through Disney, it's only a $22/pp difference (there are 4 adults going and 2 of them are paying themselves so, DH and I would, actually, pay $44 more through Disney).I thought the ease of booking everything through Disney was worth the $22. But, what if a RO code comes out and I have booked a package? Also, Say free dining comes out and I apply that to our reservation, then a room discount/code comes out. Can I have cro take the dining off and add the room discount? One other thing, what if a free hopper option discount comes out and I have already purchased the hopper option(through Disney), will they deduct that cost?
Why do they make this so confusing?, lol There is so much you need to know to book a Disney vacation. My husband mentioned to a friend that we are going to Disney and the man replied (there's atleast $10,000 and that's before you get to the parks and need to eat." DH told him that we weren't spending anywhere near that and the guy couldn't believe it - he was totally stunned. He wants me to show him how we are booking this, so that he can plan a trip. But, my point is, Disney makes this process so complicated that, in my opinion, the general public isn't aware and they just call up disney and say I want to book a vacation for this many people. They then get charged for things that they may not need - like extra days on their ticket. Oh well, I am getting long winded, that's all I need to say, lol.
