Moderators, not sure if this is the right board, if not, feel free to move me.

If you book a room only reservation through DU can you also get APs through them? Also, would it even be worth it to go through DU for a room only reservation? I would hate to have an agent do all that work for me(booking, itinerary planning, PS booking, etc...) if they arent going to get much commission for their work.

I don't know anything about buying AP's through DU. (Didn't know it could be done even, but never checked it out either.)
My upcoming trips are room only through DU (Dagney). ANd Dagney has been great all the way. She made a PS for me. (I made a few others on my own.) She/DU must be compensated some way. Even for room only she has spent a lot of time making sure I am happy. She even wanted to do a park itinerary for me. But I told her not bother.

Thanks for the info. Im not sure if you can buy them through DU either. Im just laying the groundwork and trying to get my facts for working on DH.

I stayed at the Dolphin this past July with a room only reservation with DU. They were great and got my room price was reduced twice by the time we went!

I don't think you can purchase the AP through DU - but they will get you the AP rate for your room if you plan to purchase one- just let your agent know. Tammy, our DU agent has been absolutely wonderful! We already have the DC discount for both of our upcoming trips and she is looking out for any codes and AP discounts to get us a reduced rate! You can purchase the AP vouchers online through Disney or at any Disney Store. Also if you are a DC member you can purchase them with a slight discount ($15 to $20 for adult passes) by calling the Disney Club number! You'll just have to activate the pass at Guest Services at any park when you arrive. There is also a Disney Store at MCO airport which sells passes (not vouchers). So, purchasing the AP's won't require much footwork! But, having DU handle your reservation definitely will save you a few long distance phone calls trying to get those AP room rates!
