Room only discounts for Fall?

On hold now. I can't say enough how much I hate the automated phone system before you get to a person.

I called this morning with the H8J code and had availability on two different weeks in December for the Poly. The first week of December was 25% off and second week was 30% off. I preferred the first week and just paid the $124 extra. Now, I guess I will watch for an AP rate and hope for an even better rate. So excited to be going!!!

Was waiting for AP rates, but grabbed this GP rate for 25% off Beach Club for DD8's birthday weekend in October. Since I was more than 45 days out (barely-- it's 46!) I only had to pay one night's deposit and can cancel until 5 days out if a better AP rate comes along.

DD would have loved to stay at Poly, but the only "discounted" rooms available for our dates were club level at almost $300 more per night!! Plus with F&W going on, being able to walk to/from International Gateway will be great.

Overall I am glad some discount was available, but I have to say as PAPholders whose renewal is up next month, I am not sure that we will renew this time around ..

Just got 25%/30% off Boardwalk Inn 10/25-31

I, too, had problems with Chrome. It only said the Free Dining. It wasn't until I came here that I saw there was a discount! I went on IE and then it came up.

Man are you lucky...I have been calling multiple times and online for that same resort and have been told its booked up, only have YC/BC for Oct 25-28

I just looked online and was able to pull up Boardwalk Inn discounted for those dates (Oct. 25-31).

Ugh...I have been calling and playing with resorts/dates all morning and I am constantly getting different stories. Just went online...only thing open in the Epcot area is the YC/BC for Oct 25-28, I wanted more dates than that, preferrably earlier in the week. Think I will just wait for AP/FL discounts and see if that opens anything up...even though CM's say they do not hold back rooms for discount releases

I was able to apply the 20% discount to my Nov. 4 - 10 reservation at POR. The only catch was that I needed to switch from a preferred room to a garden view room to get the best savings. My total for 6 nights went from $1326.37 for a preferred room to $980.16 for a garden view room with the discount. I'm thrilled with the $346.21 savings since I have 2 rooms booked. FYI.

Just called my AAA travel agent to hopefully apply the discount code. I played around on line and the dates that I have booked are not coming up with availability- Poly 11/7-11/12- ugh!!! Really want a discount even though the trip is paid for it would be nice to get some money back!
Now hopefully my AAA agent will get on her phone and make the call- I have not been happy with her and will NEVER use her again- will directly call and use my AAA discount.

Well, maybe! We weren't planning on going to Disney this year. But maybe I can talk DH into it.

I saw the Fall discount advertisement on MSN when I opened my internet here at work this morning. I clicked on it to check availability/rates for STD GV at the Polynesian for DD's Fall Break dates and there were rooms available....Thu Oct 25-Sat Oct 27 were 25% off and Sun Oct 28 was 30% off. I went ahead and booked just so I have it. Just in case.....

We currently have enough in our vacation fund to cover the package (room + park tickets) and could scrape airfare and food/spending money together. The airfare would be $1,000....almost 1/2 the cost of the package!

We already have the vacation time approved at work since we were taking Fall Break off to be with DD anyway.

Now I just need to convince DH!! Fingers crossed!

I'm staying at BLT for 4 nights, but I have one night booked at AoA-Car Suites for one night 12/6/2012 with the 10% AAA rate. I went online and it seems I can only get 5% with the new discounts. I'll keep what I have for now.
