When does Disney world let you know what room you will be staying in.im stay in AOA LK.November 25th til the 1st December. I paid in full now ..must be two weeks now. No word yet.got luggage tags.but no room assignment ..thanks

I'm moving this to the Resorts Board, but the answer is: When you check in. Just like with any hotel, you are assigned a room when you arrive at the hotel and check in at the desk.

You won't get your actual room assignment until you physically check in that day at your resort - and it may not be until 3:00 pm or later. :)

Actually, you don't get the room number until housekeeping has finished cleaning it, and it's ready to be occupied. You can check in and get your KTTW card, within dining credits and/or park tickets if you booked a package, as early as 6 AM. If your room isn't ready, you can give them a phone number to call or text you with the room number.

Seriously!!! There is no hotel or resort anywhere that will give you a room assignment prior to your arrival.

As others have said, it will be when you check in if you room is ready to be occupied. If it's not, you will be told the building and then Disney will either call you, text you, or you can go back to the front desk after 3:00 to check the status of your room (texting is my favorite).

Disney makes everything very easy so it's reasonable to assume your room is already assigned but there a numerous reasons why it's not. Disney checks in hundreds of guests in one day and while you might have room 200 (not a real room number) "assigned" to you, there could be someone who comes along who needs that room more than you. So, you get moved to room 300 (not a real room number) that still suits your needs.

Real life example - my husband had a medical condition that was diagnosed just two days before our trip to Disney World. We ended up touring with him in a wheelchair. I called the day before we left and asked for a first floor room to help out with things. So whoever was assigned that particular room was moved because we needed it more. And, on the reverse side, we haven't gotten a room that we requested because people needed it more but we were perfectly happy with what we did have.

Thanks so much! For the positive responses and the negative response .."Seriously! !!"
