Room Location - check in tomorrow(Sunday)

I am checking in tomorrow and have a 1 bedroom and 2 studios,(bringin both sets of grandparents)preferred view. I want a good room(obviously) - what should I ask for upon checkin?
Can you really see Illuminations from some rooms? if so is it worth asking for those rooms?
Or just a Boardwalk view? Are there rooms with other views that are good? Help.

Your rooms are probably already assigned by now. They assign rooms 3 or 4 days before arrival unless you did not make any requests. Did you make requests when you made your reservation? If you didn't, I would call the front desk and put them in.

Did you request rooms close together? Preferred view rooms can be quite a distance apart.

Some of the rooms are VERY FAR from the elevators. You may want to situate the grandparents 'near the elevator' if at all possible. And if you have to give up a BW view to be close to each other, do it! We did not spend as much time with the family in the 2 bedroom because it was such a hike to get there. We just met in the lobby and headed out.

We stayed there in Sept and had a 2 bedroom and a studio. We had the studio and we were very far from the rest of the family. Also, our 2 bedroom where my parents and 2 brothers were staying was located with a BW view but it was way down by jellyrolls and it was quite a hike (as my dad pointed out to me daily)

(Our room was overlooking the feature pool and was close to the elevator )
Next time we will word our request differently. When you get home, let us know where you ended up. Have a blast!

Sometimes when I've made minimal requests, I've ended up with the nicest room.

Keep in mind that Sunday is the busiest day for check-ins. You may have to wait until 4:00 or later for your rooms to be ready so keep that in mind when planning the day. Have a wonderful trip!
