Hi, just scheduled a week at Vero Beach in an Ocean View Inn Room (not the villas).

Does anyone have a recommendation for a room location (i.e. which floor we should ask to be on, or which side of the resort, etc.).

Thanks!

I was disappointed to find our balcony had a solid railing. So after sitting down all I was seeing was wood and our room ---- Next time, I'll make sure that does not happen.

An upper floor will give you a better ocean view.

No real recommendations but just something to be aware, the Ocean VIEW Inn Room catagory includes the rooms that are on the north and south(pool) sides of the building as well as the east (ocean) side. I could see being disapointed in a couple of those rooms.

So in order to get a room that faces the ocean, would you ask for the east side of the building or say something like "ocean-front"? I almost always ask for an upper floor - I like the views better and don't mind the distance.

Thanks!

I like the second floor rooms. The lobby staircase leads to the second floor. We rarely used the elevators. Also, if you have a resort mug you can get refills at the Green Cabin Room located on the second floor.

Oh - great thinking about the staircase! We'd rather take the stairs and that sound like a great idea. Thanks!

DH and I happened to get a corner room - and it had a HUGE open area upon entering the front door to the room. :thumbsup2 We did not have an ocean view, though...so I don't know if the corner rooms are an option. :confused3

We had a 2nd floor ocean view room which was facing the pool and had a sideways view of the Ocean - the balcony also had a solid railing and no roof so we couldn't really sit out there.

I can see why you wouldn't be terribly happy with that room if it is one of these in this picture.

We had a room directly above the 1st beach umbrella on the right. It was our first Vero stay and I didn't realise I could have asked for another room

When we first started staying at Vero, we would stay in 2216-2nd floor, on the corner, closed balcony, view of the pool and the ocean. WE LOVED IT!

The corner rooms are nice and big and we all enjoyed being able to see the pool-I would wave to DH if he was down there with one of the kids.

We have found this room to be way better than many of the direct ocean view rooms we have stayed in.

Closed balconies offer extra privacy and our kids can see over them-we've never found it to be a problem.

It seems like I have heard of someone else lovin' that corner room too. Does that room have a window toward the ocean and balcony toward the pool? It would be handy to have a view of the pool, but I would hate not get a full ocean view. We had a great 4th floor room while we were there.

We are going a few days before Easter - for 4 nights - we have an Inn room - oceanview - should I request a certain room or area now? Never been to Vero !!!!

I thought that you couldn't request a room - it was FIRST COME BY CHECKIN REQUEST?
