Room key useful or useless after check-out?

If you check-out at 11am, can you still use your room key to access the Club Level lounge and the hotel parking in case you need to go out and come back to spend the rest of the day at the pool?

Your room key is good all day on the day you check out for express, club level, to get in and out of parking etc.

It is NOT good for making purchases and charging them to the room tho ...even if you haven't 'officially' checked out yet.

We were leaving the parking lot of HRH just a few minutes after checking out and when I swiped my room card it said it was no longer valid. There is a button to push to ring the valet phone and they lifted the gate for us to leave, but I don't know if they would have let us back in or not.

When I checked out I asked about parking and she said as long as you're out by midnight. The gate was up when I pulled out so never found out how I might have had to go about it, but I was told it was good all day.
