I am seriously thinking about going to Dis-Con but am kind of a loner. I'll be solo, which is no problem for me. Did many solos attend last year? I'd love to meet my fellow DISer's!

Its going to be my first DISCON too, and after hanging around this board for the last ...how many months, i feel as if i will be meeting up with old friends not people whom I have never met. I will be travelling to the States on my own, but have a roomie for discon itself - can't wait!!

I'm also going solo for the first time. I'm a little nervous about traveling by myself, but at least I know1 person. (my sister is THE Barb for real). If you hang out on this board long enough you'll start to feel as if you already know so many of the pople going to DIS CON. I've read so much from last years that I almost feel like I was there. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in person.

Looking forward to meeting you. I was at the first DIS-Con with my 10 year old DD, and my DH will most likely be at II with me. I know LOTS of people came solo last year and had a blast! I just know I'm better with a companion. (I'd probably cry myself to sleep at night if I was alone.) But, if it was a choice of coming solo or not coming, I'd be there solo!!

Hi, Kathy! Trust me, you'll have to work very hard to find that "alone" time. LOL The only reason you'd end up by yourself is if you choose to. We became literally inseparable at DIS-CON!!!! The only time I was alone was in my room. Welcome to the group. Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi Kathy,

I'll be going to Dis Con II by myself too. Rob ( dh) told me the other day be MIGHT fly down for the weekend, but I'm not counting on it.

I have reservations at the Swan right now.. However, I may have to change it. It's under Rob's name and he is the city worker.. So I don't know if they will let me check in with out Rob??

Can't wait until we have more information on registration..

Welcome, Kathy. I'll be going solo, too.

I found that all the people that I talked to on the DIS were the same people that I looked for.

I think that I really liked having dinner together at WL last year. It helped break the ice.

And as everyone says, there needs to be more than 24 hours in a day.

And everyone was so kind and generous.

Welcome, Kathy! I was at WDW with my extended family during DIS-CON, but "solo" when it was time for the DIS-CON events. I will be really and truly solo for DIS-CON II, so there will be no guilt feelings about not spending enough time with my family.
