I know you can fit the pack n play in at Pop, but has anyone tried a full sized crib (the ones you rent from the off-site baby rental places)? :rolleyes1

I don't know if they will fit. The beds at POP are stationary, you cannot move them at all to make more room.

I have been at both POP and POFQ and they are about the same size rooms, so you should have no problem.

Have a great time!
I could be wrong but I had always thougth that the value resort rooms had less sq footage then the mods?? I have stayed at both & to me PO-FQ is bigger??? could just be me.

just checked... Pop has 260 sf & PO-FQ has 314 sf...not that there is a huge difference, but if you have a little more room & you can move the beds it would make a difference. I can fit a double sized aero bed into any of the values but not Pop since those beds are stationary. I can also fit it in the mods too by moving the beds...

Point was, I have stayed in both, used in both, and it fit fine in both.

I am sorry, in your post you didn't say you used in both. Had I known that, I wouldn't have doubted you. I was going by my experience with an areo bed. There was no harm meant here. I know I cannot fit a double areo bed in POP...and there was a sf difference, but not much...that is all....

The rooms at POP and at the ALL stars are both 260 square feet. They are also basically laid out the same.

The POP rooms seem smaller because the bed is closer to the door with a bigger gap being between the bathroom wall and the far bed. At All-Stars this gap is wider.

You will notice in POP pic the bed is closer to the door by looking at how close the headboard is while at Movies you have a little more room.
The beds at POP are Bolted to the floor so you can't move them.
You can move the beds at All Stars so you push one the beds against the wall.
Thus giving you more usuable floor space.
Have fun at Disney.

Yes, I know the rooms at Pop & all of the All Stars are the same size, that isn't what was being compared..... One of the posts was comparing the size of Pop to PO-FQ and they are not the same size...just slightly larger...
reason the aero bed will not fit in Pop is because the beds stationary.. I was thinking in terms of if OP was wanting to move beds around for full size crib.

Sorry A Mickeyfan.
You are correct. I had not read your post A Mickeyfan. I was busy looking up an old post I had made and just copied and pasted the part about room size and what is different about the two values.
I also wondered if there would be enough room at POP for a full size crib.
Might be pretty tight but EagleHasLanded said she was able to fit one in.
So I guess it will fit.
Have fun at Disney everyone.

Hi there..apoligy accepted :goodvibes I got my info on the sf from Deb's site as well. I didn't think I was going that nuts.. I thought the values were smaller & knew I read it. I have stayed at every mod & value in Disney. You are 100% correct, the lay out of all AllStars & POP are bascially the same, but the rooms in AS will feel bigger by moving the beds...hey like Figment says... Imagination...... goodvibes

A Mickeyfan: This is from my other post:

You will have no problem at POFQ, we have had a crib from ABBF there, as well as other Disney Resorts, and there is adequate space without feelling too cramped.

A Mickeyfan, you are correct, and I guess I did not make it clear what I was trying to say. I was trying to get out that I have used the ABBF full crib in a lot of the Disney Resorts, (POP and POFQ included), and they always fit fine.

I know you meant no harm. . . no offense taken. Glad we got that settled. . .

I knew I didn't see it in your original post on this thread. I did go into the link but there were 2 pages of posts. Most from what I saw, were for someplace to rent the crib so I didn't read all posts... now a question... wasn't it cramped at all? I know when we use the air bed, we take it up during the day & lean it on the wall for more space in the room. I never used a full crib, I took my playpen & as they got a little bigger, I carried the bed rails with me so I could push the bed against the wall & put up the bed rail. Also (off topic) I use to take the potty seat...nothing worse than confusing them on that :goodvibes

Not really. We moved something (table?) from beside the tv cabinet and had plenty of room to walk by. It was nice. The minor intrusion of the crib is far outweighed by the ability to get a GREAT nights' sleep because of it.

Wah-Hoo!!

Side question: does anyone know how far in advance you have to reserve the rental cribs? We are going the second week of Dec. I am hoping DS will sleep in a bed with siderail (I will bring ours and ask for one from the resort), if not I'm hoping he can do the pack n play thing (he naps in one at school). At home he's in a crib, so I really wanted to know in case he just won't sleep. He will be 4 by then and really too big for a pack n play or crib, but has autism and usually needs that structure to sleep.

I have a 5yo with asperger's (on the autistic spectrum). You might be surprised how easily your son does without the rail or crib! My son didnt move out of crib until 3...and I was petrified to move him (horrible sleeper). My son then had a bed rail up until his 5yo birthday. It was more a mommy thing than his need thing. I was just worried he would fall out of bed. so on his 5th birthday...I just put a ton of pillows on the floor, and hoped for the best. In the past 4 months...he's only fallen out of bed once...and he just went right back into bed. If you can...I would suggest pushing a bed against a wall...and if you wont be sleeping on the 'open' side of the bed...then bring a rail...or chance it! Sometimes growth comes with taking chances. For all parents! but of course I completely understand your hesitation if you have a bad sleeper.

In the values there is only the table & chairs on the side of the TV, in the mods, there is that plus the other side has some sort of thingie on the other side... more than likey it was the table you moved. Actually I can picture if you move it say to where the bathrooms are, then put the crib on that side it would work.. I didn't think of that one.. I am big on moving beds..never thought of the easy way :rotfl: Now I am wondering if I move the table, can I fit the double air bed in that direction in POP since I cannot move thier beds :goodvibes I have to think of something by Dec 1st. I went & booked that for me, my 2 daughter's & (older ones boyfreind). I had thought of putting him on the air bed but then remembered the beds there didn't move. I had originally thought of going with PO-R Aligator Bayou for the trundle & didn't... I don't want to switch now (I am trying to save money). I will try moving the tables. I am heading to POP for Oct 1 with my 1 daughter & DH, I can rearrange the room then to see what works for me :rotfl:
thanks for the table tip... :wizard:
