We are going to Florida from 19th June to 5th July next year and are planning on an off site stay in a villa. However we want to do 4 nights onsite mid trip to have some time away from extended family with just our boys. Would I be best booking room only through WDTC or historically has there been room sales for the period of our dates?
One other question, we were looking at doing AoA as DS1 is Ariel mad right now, other choice would be Pop. We will have our own car so buses aren't a concern but which would you choose? Kids will be just under 3.5 and 1.5 at time of travel!

I'd do the little mermaid room. The big blue pool is so nice, and AoA is much niCer. As long as you don't mind the walk (about 6 to 8 mins rom main building) and they never get room discounts.

I got a 30% room discount for May 2014 in February 2014 after all the free dining had ended. I think it ran into June so I'd wait and watch after the free dining deals end. I stayed at AKL. Other resorts were discounted too but not all of them.

For 4 nights I would wait for a discount either through WDTC UK or WDTC US.
There are usually discounts for that time frame however you are going to be no worse off waiting as you will only pay rack rate which is what you would pay by booking now :goodvibes

Disney does not typically discount AoA. They will put discounts on resorts they want to fill rooms at. AoA is not one that they have a hard time filling. Unless they change for next year. If you stayed at POP you could just walk across the bridge and visit AoA.

Thanks for the advice all :goodvibes I don't know if we can wait til next year to book really as our 180 ADR day is Christmas week and with it being peak time when we are going I'm worried we won't get our very much wanted character meals (CRT, CM, CP) and the hard to get 'Ohana. The 180+10 as an onsite guest would definitely be a help! I have read that AP holders can get discounted room rates, is that true for our dates? Cause if so theres not much difference in ticket prices (ultimate vs AP) and we might benefit from TiW if we have an AP.

If you book through the US you can get them to apply any discounts that come out - plus you only pay a deposit with balance due at check in :thumbsup2

I would recommend Dreams Unlimited travel if you do a US booking as they will automatically check for discounts and apply them if possible :)

As for discounts check out Mousesavers as they list the history of discounts with release dates and type :goodvibes

Another good US Disney specialist travel agent is Mouse Fan Travel. They don't charge any fees. They will check for discounts and apply them and book your ADRs too if you ask.

You guys are amazing!! Thank you SO much, you have no idea how helpful this is to me! :goodvibes
