Is it possible to get two connecting studios anywhere? (I don't think these exist, but I wanted to check.) If not, is it generally easy to get two studios reserved near each other?

Or, is it possible to reserve a 2BR lockoff for part of a stay with only the 1BR part for the rest of it? (For example, if my parents want to travel with us and stay in the studio portion of it but they don't stay as long, would we be able to stay in our 1BR portion of it without having to switch rooms?)

Thank you for your responses!

The answer depends a bit on WHICH DVC resort, and availability. MOST of the time, if you reserve a lock off 2 bedroom for part of your stay and a 1 bedroom for the rest of your stay and have the ressies linked, you will probably be able to stay in the same 1 bedroom portion of the unit. That isn't always the case though, so you need to have the ressies linked and alert the front desk when you check in that you are hoping to do this.

Your original assumption is correct....there are no connecting studios in DVC resorts.

At OKW, we have done the 2 bedroom lock of to 1 bedroom scenario several times without a problem, but each time we linked the ressies and asked at check in to have this considered.

Studios do not connect, but you can request close locations.

Not 100% sure on this one, but I believe you would have to book the 2-bed for your entire stay and utilize the room as you please. Perhaps someone else may have a better answer for you.
I would book a 1-bed and a separate studio for the length of time you needed each and request close proximity.
Enjoy!

I think the better answer is the 2 bedroom lock off to 1 bedroom ressies linked. It's worked for us every time.

I defer to Diane - she has had more experience! :goodvibes

hey - lookie to the left - my 1000th post!!

It's possible to get two studios that are immediately beside each other but no door connecting the two.
