Does any one have a list of how many of each room configurations there are at BCV??? (TerryS has given out bits an pieces of this in other threads!)

Right now my list looks like this.... (please tell me if I'm right!!)

74 2bdrm lock off units/studio lock off/ 1bdrm look off
36 Dedicated Studios
15 Dedicated 1 Bdrms
?? Dedicated 2 Bdrms

PS WebmasterDoc, thanks for the great thread you did on room number view and location!!! It was wonderful!

Hey its me again! There are:

78 Dedicated 2 bedrooms

And if you wanted to break that down further, its:

53 Dedicated 2 bedrooms with 1 Queen Bed and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa
25 Dedicated 2 bedrooms with 2 Queens

I am at work, and I don't have the exact figures with me, but I know those 2 bedrooms above for sure by memory, and I think that there are actually 20 1 bedroom dedicateds. I will check when I get home.

I kept seeing your little tidbits in other threads and wondered if you had the whole list. BVC is our new home. We made ressies for before Thanksgiving and are excited about going. I'm trying to learn as much as possible about the resort.

We still need to request our room preferences. I can't decide between lower level pool view or upper level epcot/illuminations view. If it was 1st floor pool we could scoot out to the pool while the little ones sleep (I always bring a monitor) but with epcot view we could watch the fireworks while the littlest one slept. Oh decisions. Would the best epcot/fireworks view rooms be on the 4th and 5th floors in the x53 - x77 region??? or is the region bigger than that?

Thanks again,
Lisa

I am back home and these are the numbers:

74 2bdrm lock off units/studio lock off/ 1bdrm look off
36 Dedicated Studios
20 Dedicated 1 Bdrms
53 Dedicated 2 bedrooms with 1 Queen Bed and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa
25 Dedicated 2 bedrooms with 2 Queens

Yes, the odd numbers on the 4th and 5th floors from X53 - X77 are the best Spaceship Earth and illuminations views in my opinion. You can also see illuminations from the woods view on the 4th and 5th floors, but you can not see spaceship earth, those would be odd numbers X25 - X33 as well as X24, X22, and X20. I prefer the first set of rooms though that also have the view of spaceship earth.

erikthewise... 282 is correct. If you break up the 74 lock off units, you come up with 282.

I will match our spectacular, direct view of Spaceship Earth from room 546 (on the "spur") against any other. In particular it is definitely more direct than the nearby rooms on the main spine (high 50's and 60's?). However our view of Illuminations was indirect -- we had to stand at the railing to see it, but could see everyhting if we did, whereas those on the main spine had a direct view. The rooms at the far end of the main spine (numbers?) may have the best comination of views.

Sorry, erikthewise, you are right, I have not been in any of those rooms, but from what I understand, even number rooms X40 - X52 will have a direct in front view of spaceship earth and a view of illuminations off to the right. If you were looking at the hotel as a "Y" and standing at the bottom of the "Y" these would be the rooms on the right side of the handle. The rooms on the left side do not see spaceship earth or illuminations. I have heard the one at the very end X51 can see illuminations if they lean over the railing, but they also have a dumpster below them.

This has actually helped me a lot! Although I had to go through it again after I put my kids to bed to make sure I got it. With a copy of WebmasterDocs post from last September in hand, I was able to get view issue nailed down.

So let's see if I got it ...

For the 4th & 5th floor
x25-x33 odd (spine) x20-x24 even (little spur?) - illuminations only (referred to as woods view)
x40-x52 even (spur)- direct view of ss earth with illumination to the right
x53-x77 odd (spine) - view of space ship earth and illuminations

How's that?

TerryS thanks for the distribution of the room types.

Wow Lisa, you got that down to a tee! or was that a Y ;)

Can anyone tell me if there are any rooms with good views of the lake and/or Boardwalk area and of so, which rooms? Thanks

Coachsting,

From what I have heard, and if you look at some of the pictures that show how the resort is laid out, there are no lake/Boardwalk views available at BCV. I think the best you can do possibly is see the upper floors of the S/D and possibly BWI.

If this is incorrect, someone please correct me.

Brian

We have had #550, #548 and #459. Good view from all, although we found #459 to have more "road" noise.

Just some info about views at BCV. I've called 3 times for ressies in the past 2 months (a lot of changes). Each time I've tried to request a woods view, and each time I've been told "there's no such thing as a woods view at BCV. The 3 view are: Epcot, pool view, or courtyard view." The view I liked best was what I got last time, the woods from the "spur" at the right, overlooking the woods, seeing a little of Illuminations. Don't know what that's called if there's no woods view.
