Hi. We just bought our DVC in August and had a trip planned in September since January of this year. We had already booked our trip and had a regular cash reservation of a 2 BR villa at BC. We were able to get a discounted member cash reservation, and now through a great amount of luck have been able to get 5 of our 7 nights using our points!
My question is, 3 consecutive nights are in 1 room type, and 1 night, the last night is in another room type. Does this mean we will definitely have to switch rooms for the last night, or is there any discretion for the resort to leave us in the same room if there is availability? We have a 2 bedroom for all of the nights, but 3 nights are in a lockoff, and 1 night is in a dedicated 2 br. We are on a waitlist for the last night, so maybe it will come through, but just wondering if this is the only way we're going to get to stay in the same room.

The key here is availability.

If there is availability for your missing night(s) between now and arrival - or even after arrival, the resort will usually be happy to allow you stay in the same villa. if the waitlist has not come thru before you leave, I would remind them at check-in that you would appreciate any consideration to stay in the same villa and would also check a few times during your stay to see if they can accommodate your request to stay put.

Good luck! :)

Since a lock off involves a studio and a one bedroom, the chances of getting to stay when your reservation becomes a dedicated two bedroom are pretty slim.

You are affecting 3 room types instead of just one. It could happen but I would be prepared for not.

Be sure to discuss your options when you check in. Maybe they can at least get you something very close.

From what i have experienced they are not very flexable with this; I am sure there is always a maybe but you are taking a chance on this one.

Good Luck
