Room Availability For December

I just got word that Disney did not exercise their ROFR so I will soon be able to book rooms directlyonce everything gets finalized. I would like to go around Dec 9-14 or Dec 16-21. Will there be any space available since it is getting late and it is a popular time of the year? Has anyone booked rooms at that time of the year and have success after June? Thanks.

I've done it early to mid-December less than 6 months out and gotten a room. Of course I can't say for sure, but if you aren't picky about what you get, you'll most likely get something.

I believe it was just this time of year when we made it through ROFR, and I booked my DL for July in addition to my December WDW trip the first of June

That's the busiest time of the year for DVC, but the only way to know for sure is to call and see. The more flexible you are regarding resort, dates, and types of accommodations, the more likely you are to get a ressie.

Keep in mind that you can't make a ressie until you have closed and are fully "in the system." That is usually about ten days after closing, sometimes a day or two sooner.
