We are traveling with In-laws in August. We have 2 studio's booked at SSR for Monday thru Friday. We booked our airfare, but the difference in price it was SOOOOO much cheaper to fly in Sunday night. Our plan was to just get rooms at the Hyatt Regency in the airport for the night (as we arrive around 9:30pm) and take the ME in the morning over to SSR and then hit the parks.

However, now we are contemplating booking a value room at All star Movies. Now, my inlaws wanted to stay in the room with us at the airport (4 adults and 2 small kids crammed in one room, against the rules of occupancy). That room is like $165 after tax. I would prefer to just get two rooms at an all star resort for $102 each after taxes. $35 more to be on property already in the morning is a better deal to me, plus not cramming in one room WITH my inlaws sounds even more fantastic (not against bending rules, but this is a little beyond my comfort zone).

So, my question is how easy is it to have our bags that will come through ME SUN to the all star resort send to SSR? In all reality, we won't even need them until we get to SSR. Every we need for Sunday night and Monday was going to be in a carry on anyway. I guess what I'm asking is, is there a way we can just have our luggage from the airplane sent directly to SSR and we'll pick them up on check in at SSR? I know our carry on stuff can be sent through bell services.

I can't give you an official answer but I can share my experience. We had a last minute change 1 trip due to hurricane. We arrived 1 day early and spent the first night at a different resort. I was told to cross out the resort on our luggage tags with a Sharpie marker and write in the new resort (we wanted our bags the first night). I did it but the bags arrived at the resort where the tags were labeled to go - I wondered if there was a barcode reading and nobody bothered to read what I manually changed.
We did have a little confusion getting on the ME at the airport because the resort was different then the one listed in the booklet but after explaining, they just let us get on the bus.
I think where you might have confusion is that your ME booklet will read a different resort then your luggage tags if you try to set it up they way you are suggesting.

I would definitely get member services to tell you what to do, they would be able to tell you what to do and how to do. I don't think you will have a problem leaving you luggage at sir since they don't put it in your room until you call for it. They will just need to know that it will be sitting there for a day till you arrive the next day. We left our luggage at I think it was animal kingdom for a night and it was fine you just have to let them know of your plans because they don't know your plans.
