Room 8518 Wonder- Opinions??

We were hoping to get the same room as last sailing (8528) but it was already taken so we decided on 8518. Any thoughts, experience, opinions out there on this room? We are a bit worried it is too close to the forward stairs/elevator. Should we anticipate a good deal of noise/traffic? Can we look forward to a peaceful rest when needed. Is the room size/layout the same as 8528 and other family staterooms?

I can't speak to the size of 8518 vs. other family staterooms, but I can address the location to an extent. We did our November cruise in 7518, which is located exactly where the forward stairs/elevator hall connects to the stateroom hall. I can report that we didn't have any problems with noise due to that location (every once in a while you could hear someone talking as they moved into the main hallway). Our next door neighbors were another story.

The one thing I can't address is if/how noise from deck 9 might be a factor.

I am happy to hear that the noise from the stairs is not excessive. Anyone else out there who may have enjoyed room 8518??
