Hi all.... hope you can help. We're experienced at WDW (DVC members), but this will be our first cruise & we're assigned room 8036.
I'm hoping it's a good one, since the cruise is for my DDs high school graduation & she'll be celebrating her 18th BD on the cruise.
Any opinions welcome.

 We were in 8038 a few weeks ago and found the room to be very noisy. It is below the pool area and parties and maintenace kept our family up most of the night, every night except our last one. We were exhausted the entire time on the ship. Maintenace in the pool area begins around 3:30am and goes until morning. Unless you are heavy sleepers I would recommend trying to move more forward to be under the spa. Our previous cruise we stayed in 8006 and it was a huge difference! I personally will never stay on Deck 8 again unless I am below the spa.

Hey I'm in that room too, in December, and I did some research and I think I am going to ask for a change. It is right under a stage for live music. I think someone said it has a larger than average veranda and it is nice for seasickness because it is in the middle of the ship.

On our last 2 cruises we were in 8030 and our married children and grandchildren (ages 3,3,5 & 8) were next door in 8028 and 8026. Although we heard a little noise during deck parties etc. it NEVER bothered us or the kids and certainly did not disturb anyones sleep. The location (on deck 8 and near the midship elevators) more than makes up for the occaisional noise. Not only would I recommend this location highly, we are booked for the same rooms this Nov.

which is 8 doors down from your room on the opposite side and we hated it. If it had been a 7 day cruise it would have driven us crazy with the noise but thankfully it was only a 4 day. You could hear the sailaway parties so well you didnt even need to go upstairs and the running and scraping of chairs was annoying! Did I mention how annoying the running was? LOL We had to put our sound machine on fairly loud for hubby and I to go to sleep most nights and it took alot of talking to get our kids to settle down for the night. I cant see anyone wanting to spend the amount of $$$$ for a room on that deck at least in that general area. Maybe further front or back wouldnt be as bad but right by the pools and the sailaway party we felt we spent alot of money for a really crummy room.

We got 2 connecting rooms on the 6th deck this time instead because it was so loud and annoying.
