Hi all I have only cruised on DCL once before in 2001 and we were lucky enough to be able to cruise in a CAT 6 but since the prices have gone up we had to look at a different catagory. I received a price quote with DU for a Cat 10 room for 7/22/06 but was happy to find out that they still had room 5020 available for that sailing. It will be me, DH, DS(almost 10) DS(4). I have to make my decision by tomorrow for the deposit so can anyone give me any thoughts on this room and its location, view, ability to be comfortable for 4 people or anything else that you want to add would be great:)

Thanks in advance
Kathy

My 3 DS's ages 21, 19 and 13 stayed in that room in Dec. '02. They had plenty of room (although the furniture configuration is different, the trunk is missing) and from what I remember the view was not that bad either. In fact, I think that 5020 has the least obstruction. We were in a Cat. 10 and I do know that their view was MUCH better than ours :D but since we were an inside cabin I guess that was to be expected!

I would say to go for it - you will have a blast!

We were in 5520 or 5522.....cruise before last and it was a great cabin.

There is a bunk bed, so 4 can sleep easily.

I'd book it(whichever one it was) again in a heartbeat!!!

We had room 5024 This Oct. Booked 5022 for next Oct. I think they are the best value rooms onboard. Still hoping for upgrade though like Oct 2003 when we got Cat 6. :boat:

5020 is our favorite room! We are going to be in it this coming Sunday on the Wonder!

We have never been in a Cat. 6, so I can't compare. But it is a great cabin for the price of a Cat. 10! We LOVED the location for the kids club and lab! The movie theater is just down the hall and you only have to walk down the stairs and you are at the Walt Disney Theater!

We really like the location and the room!

We stayed in 5020 in July on our 7 night DCL western. Once booking opened up for the special 2 days at Castaway Cay western in 2006, I immediately called DCL and booked 5020 for the first special cruise in 5/06. We LOVED this cabin!! The location was great and very little view obstruction. Staying in the cabin was myself, DH, DS and DS's best friend (both almost 15 at the time of cruising - I think my son's friend packed like the cruise was a month long! ). We had plenty of room (as long as we kept things picked up) and having the split bath was a godsend when getting ready in the morning or before dinner. I don't know if it was luck, but the first time we cruised with DCL we were on deck 2. All of us felt a little seasick the first few days. In July we never had any problems. We took the same motion sickness medicine on both cruises too. Maybe the seas were a lot calmer in July vs. December.
