My wife and I will be visiting Disney for a week in late January. We're generally very frugal and choose lunch for our nicer meals. I'd like for us to do one romantic dinner at a resort. Nothing ridiculous like Victoria and Alberts, but still a nice place that could be on the pricier side. One obstacle is that my wife doesn't eat seafood.

I've thought of Narcoossee's, Jiko, and the California Grill, but wonder about the menu choices for her. Are these good choices, or can you provide other suggestions?

Have been to Cal. Grill several times and it's great. The serve chicken, pork tenderloin & beef so I'm sure she would enjoy. Also, if you choose Cal. Grill you could schedule around fireworks so you could view while dining. It's very nice. We will be trying Jiko's for first time in Nov. have heard nothing but good things about it. Have never been to Narcoosee's, so someone else will help you. You can go to allears website and look at all the menus!

Just wanted to mention...

I don't eat ANY seafood, either, and have never dined at any WDW restaurant that didn't have SOMETHING that appealed to me...

We've been to Narcoose's and California Grill many times and I have really enjoyed them both. We've never been to Jiko - though I'd like to - but I hear their steak is one of the best!

Check out the menus on this or Deb's site - that would really help.

Enjoy your meal!

Have you thought of Artist Pointe? Your DW obviously won't want the signature cedar plank salmon, but they have a great menu and it's really nice to walk around WL afterwards.

Got to be Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge. Set aside a couple of hours for a nice relaxed meal with wine pairings. Make a reservation for later in the evening - say 7:30 or later. You'll find it fairly quiet and romantic. Afterwards, take a walk down along the water hand-in-hand. Wait for the geyser to go off on the hour.

Another vote for Artist Point. We celebrated our 25th anniversary there-great food, service, and atmosphere. For a Disney resturaunt it was very calm and quiet. DS and DIL went to CG for their anniversary and found it extremely "bustling" and loud.

We went to CG last time and going to Narc. this time. If I were you I would do one of them when they do the fireworks over the MK. Matter of taste as to which is better... would you like a sky view or a water view?
