Hi All

My fiance and I are having our honeymoon in Florida for 2 weeks in May thi year. We are doing a lot of the parks etc so most of our daytime time is already planned in, but it would obviously be nice to do some romantic stuff too.

If anyone can recommend any good romantic ideas that are either:
> In/near any of the parks
> In the evenings
> Not too heavy on the pocket
> Or anything particularly good that can be done during the day

I would really appreciate it. We are both 29 years old with no children, staying on International Drive and have access to a car.

Thanks

Drive over to the gulf coast and watch the sunset on the beach.

We are planning on doing this in September to celebrate our 25th wedding anniverasy.

Or go to Caribbean beach resort one evening and get in a hammock and watch the fireworks over Epcot

Watching the fireworks from the Poly beach is very romantic.

we did the electric parade and fireworks from poly beach on our honeymoon

Horse and carriage ride at Fort wilderness resort.
Rent a boat at Boardwalk/ Saratoga/ Down town disney etc (many locations)
Watch the fireworks from GF/Poly beach, bring some wine. (On my 30th birthday we went to Ohanas for a meal and walked over to the GF, when I came out of the loo dh had a tray with a rose, choc strawberries and champagne, we went and sat on the beach and drank it while watching fireworks, he'd arranged it through someone at the GF)

Drive down to clearwater and take a boat trip to see dolphins.

Go to Celebration, have a stroll around and sit on rocking chairs overlooking the lake with an ice cream.

Stroll on disney boardwalk - in the evening there are jugglers etc

Sorry if this is a stupid question - but am I right in guessing that the Poly Beach is at the Grand Floridian? If so, can you really bring your own wine onto the resort, and which park's fireworks are they (just so I know what set of fireworks times I need to look at)

Thanks

Poly beach is at the Polynesian - next to the Grand Floridian
You can see wishes from there

One other thing to throw into the pot is to do a Wishes Cruise.
These leave from the resorts - you can choose which one - and they take you on a cruise around the rivers and lakes, watching the water pageant, before stopping on the lake in fromt of MK to watch the fireworks.
They also do one that stops in Epcot and you watch Illuminations.

The Poly and GF beach are next to each other.

No one is going to stop you bringing anything you want, just park in the poly car park, walk through the hotel and down to the beach, bring a blanket/towel as the sand can be damp. I'm sure if you were being loud you would get approached, many times we have taken drinks to the beach and it's never been a problem.
