romantic evening out ideas?

Well, I am well underway in the planning of our second family WDW vacation in Feb. I have already booked our hotel (Pop) and put in a PS for the Luau.

This vacation we will be bringing my mother with us. She has offered to watch our kids one evening so my husband and I can have a romantic, kidless, evening (I have nearly forgotten what those are!)

Which restaurants and activities would your recommend for 2, 30 something kidless-for-an-evening people?

Too many to choose from, but one that my husband and I do often is dinner at flying fish than a quiet walk on the boardwalk sometimes going into Jelly Rolls for some loud adult fun. He also surprised me one night with Dinner at the yachtsman and an illuminations cruise. Heck one year he even surprised me and while we were staying at Wilderness Lodge made one night reservations just for he and I to go to spend the night at the boardwalk without my son. The only thing I can say is Thank God for grandma's. My mom usually joins us on vacation. She usually agrees to stay with our son one night so we can be alone.

I would reccommend dinner at WP"s dining room, the Cirque du soleil and then pleasure island

Go on treat yourself to a real night without the kids to Disney at its best. You must go to Victoria and Albert's. You have treated the children and spent 1000s I'm sure. Why not top it off with a romantic dinner a little stroll afterwards with fireworks in the backround. Can you picture it now? What is a few extra 100 in the whole scheme of things? The memories will last forever!

DH and I had a kidless night recently, as my mother watched our kids for our anniversary. Im 32 and DH turned 36 on this trip.

We started out with Dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse at 7:00. It was an amazing meal. We wouldnt eat there all the time with the kids as it is a nicer more pricey place(although we did see kids there), but it was a nice splurge and well worth every penny.
We then walked over to Epcot, got a nice spot near Italy and watched Illuminations. After that we walked to the Boardwalk, where we had a few drinks and laughs at Jellyrolls. It was an awesome night!

There are tons of great ideas!!!
- go for a couple's massage at the GF Spa, then to dinner at V&A's, and then watch Wishes from the Poly Beach
- Dine at the Yachtsman Steakhouse, watch Illuminations from the BC/YC beach, take a stroll on the Boardwalk. Head to the Bellevue Room for an afterdinner drink and then to Jellyrolls for some fun!
- Dinner at WP Dining Room, see La Nouba (AMAZING!!), then head to PI for dancing or Ghiradelli's for a dessert.

Do they have hot tubs at your resort? Taking a late night dip before you head back to your kids would be a great way to end the evening!!

But I agree with DeniseD.

If you want romance, NOTHING tops a dinner at V and A's.
It's by far the best and the most romantic dining experience at WDW.

Enjoy the orchestra in the GF lobby, or if you still have time, head out to the GF beach and watch the fireworks from the castle.

Top it off with a cocktail at Mizner's in the GF.

If you enjoy fireworks, the Breathless Illuminations cruise is wonderful. The two of you get a private boat (with the captain of course) and are taken out for a nice ride before the fireworks start. Just before Illuminations begins, the boat is tied off under a bridge and you get a phenomenal view of the show. My wife and I loved it.

We have had most of our "kidless" dinners at Artist Point at the WL. Food, service, atmosphere all first class. It keeps us coming back!

We've also done the Cali Grill before and although it was good and had a great view, I felt it was too "hustly bustly" and I was looking for something more intimate.

The castle for dinner is nice if you are the fairytale romance type. We love the bistro – it always reminds us of our honeymoon in Paris! Plus both locations have fireworks views.
