My DH and I are going to WDW in September for our Anniversary. I was thinking of dinner at Victoria and Albert's, possibly even Chef's Table please, please tell me what you think. Also, any recommendations for other eateries that anyone feels is more romantic would be appreciated.

My DH and I had dinner at V&A's in December. It has been by far the best meal we have both ever eaten in our lives! The atmosphere, service, and food was amazing. We tried to get chef's table but you have to book 180 days out because they only do one seating per night. Also, we did the wine pairing......a little advice, don't try to finish every single glass they give you.... hope this helps. Enjoy your anniversary :)

My DH & I went to V&A on our honeymoon July 2002. AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! GO FOR IT! It was so romantic. You were not rushed at all. And you get A LOT of food!

And I agree with bartty...do not try to finish every glass of wine. LOL
Go for a walk on the beach after & if you can time it so you can see WISHES!

Happy Anniversary!! What a wonderful way to celebrate!

I've never been to V&A's, but California Grill is our favorite. The food is awesome. The scenery is great - it's on the top of the Contemporary and you can see all of MK and much of EPCOT. If you time it right, you can see the fireworks at MK during dinner.

Also, it is a lot more casual than V&A. No jackets or ties required. People do dress up a little - long pants and nice top, etc. I always laugh when I make PS here because the only dress code is that men cannot wear tank tops!! My DH would not be caught dead in a tank top anytime of the day, much less at dinner.

DF and I ate at V&A our last trip and plan/hope to get the chef's table for our honeymoon in Oct. As everyone has said it is very wonderful. The most romantic setting I"ve ever been in. it is elegant and you are not rushed so you can take your time to bask in the pampering and the love you both have to share. Hope you enjoy and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY :goodvibes

i have to vote for california grill to me sitting at a table overlooking the castle at mk and watching wishes while eating dinner you cant get more romantic than that!! and the food :earboy2: yum!!

Oh my gosh thank you guys so much I am very excited about this! My husband would not help me at all when I was putting together our Spring Break trip with the kids and I was afraid he was not going to like it. Wellll when we got home from Disney two weeks ago I came down with the flu :sad2: In an effort to cheer me up, he told me he wanted he and I just to go back without the kids for our anniversary. Boy did I feel better. One more question and I am sure this is the wrong thread, buttt you all seem so full of information, has anyone had the couple's massage at the Spa at the Grand Floridian? or any other Spa treatments?

I had to put my 2 cents in about V&A. We LOVED it! I was SO worried about eating a 7-course meal and feeling like we had gotten our money's worth; I shouldn't have had any fears....

The atmosphere was so intimate...there was soft piano music playing; the couples were so far apart from each other, you felt like you were in your own private restaurant...the service was outstanding...the food was to die for....

Ahhhhh....

And by the way, I found this little snippet about Victoria & Albert's:

"Victoria & Albert's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has been awarded a AAA Five Diamond rating for the fifth consecutive year and is among just 57 restaurants in North America earning AAA's highest distinction in 2005.
AAA's 65 full-time tourism editors evaluate more then 55,000 hotels and restaurants each year, and only 0.26 percent (barely more than one-quarter of 1 percent) earn five diamonds (85 lodgings earned the coveted honor this year along with the 57 restaurants).
Victoria & Albert's also was awarded four stars by the 2005 Mobil Travel Guide -- one of only two restaurants in Central Florida to earn the honor.
Mobil Travel Guide ratings are based on cumulative scores determined by service evaluations, unannounced inspections, published reviews and letters from Mobil Travel Guide users."

Did the couple's massage at GF. It was very nice, they actually just open up a wall between two rooms and you are having your massage at the same time. Candles are lit and you are side by side. After the massage we had our anniversary dinner at V&A in 2000. It was the most romantic unforgetable night ever. I think you are making a good choice.

pinkpiglettlovr do you know how far in advance you have to make reservations for the massage?

Just another "vote" for V&A. The Chef's table is nice certainly, but my feeling is that the main dining area is probably more romantic, by way of ambiance.

That was what I was wondering about the Chef's Table. I think it would be fun to do some time but not when we are celebrating a special event.

actually made ressies when we arrived at disney, because my dh surprised me with the trip and didnt think to make any ressies other than V&A. The GF concierge was able to coordinate our massages a few hours prior to our dinner. But I have many times called only a day in advance and if I was booking a massage they could normally accomodate. If you know when your ressies are going to be for V&A I would try to book as soon as you have that squared away.
