I just read that the father for Little People Big World was pulled over:moped: and arrested::cop: for DUI last month, it may have already been mentioned on the boards I did a search but you know how that goes. Why don't people just have someone drive them home after a night of drinking.:confused3 I feel really bad for his family:sad2:

In this case i'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt,

he has a hard time walking, so that could affect the test but if he was not drinking he should have taken the breath test.

I'd like to hear what he has to say about it.

Hmmm that's interresting.
I do find it hard to believe but you never know. I would like to hear more about this.

i find it interesting that he refused to take the sobriety test which would have put the matter of weather alcohol was involved entirely to rest.

realy bad timing considering the family is promoting their new book 'little people, big values' right now.

I thought this was very sad but would like to see a little more info, I don't think we know the whole story.

Oh no - I'm really surprised to hear this. I love watching the show.

For him to be arrested I think he must have been rather drunk. (not taking a field test doesn't really mean anything to me- I don't know if I would take one either)
I just feel bad for his family.Oh and his wife must be so mad.

Did you know he once played an Ewok in a Star Wars movie.

Oh and his wife must be so mad.

Oh yeah, you know Amy is PISSED!

I had heard something about it, but haven't heard the whole story...I'll have to check out that link

I was thinking the same thing. I was very disappointed to hear this about Matt Roloff. We really like the show.

I'm sure his wife, Amy, is NOT happy :sad2:

A grown adult knows without having to take a walking test whether they have consumed too much and would be considered over the limit before they even get behind the wheel. If the amount of alcohol is ever in question before getting behind the wheel, then that person shouldn't be driving.

Heard on the radio this morning that this is not his first. :sad2:

That's very sad! I really like the show. I really love his parents too. With his size he'd probably be intoxicated at 1/2 the legal amount so he must have really been loaded. :(

He looks like he's in physical pain a lot of the time to me, especially when he's walking - I wonder if he's self medicating himself with alcohol? :confused3

I saw this in the newspaper and was shocked. I watch his TV show, and honestly didn't expect this!
In the article it said it'd take two beers or two glasses of wine to make him at the illegal limit.

I saw this on TMZ, where they posted his mug shots. To me, he looked like himself-which is a first. Everyone else looks so out of it in their mugs (Nick Nolte, anyone?) and Matt just looks like he always does.

Based on his size, one beer might put him at .08. I'd fear Amy more than the law if I were him.

Love the show, it won't keep me from watching. It's nice to see a family with a messier house than mine! :thumbsup2

It's terrible that he is behind the wheel after drinking. However, I think most people underestimate how much alcohol it takes to be impaired.

I remember seeing the girl who played Carol Seaver (her name and the name of the show escapes me right now) on Oprah after her DUI. She said they were on their way home from a family bbq and they were all joking about how she should drive because her husband had been drinking. It didn't occur to anyone that the drink (or drinks?) she'd had earlier in the evening would be a problem. She had to live with the consequences of that decision. I admired her for stepping forward to spread the word about how easy it is to underestimate the power of alcohol.

I hope that he will step forward and address this issue as well. I think there are lots of people out there who drive after drinking and just assume they were fine - and are probably wrong.

My DM and I said the same thing. I would fear Amy more than any judge!

I agree, I will still watch the show and their house is messier than mine so it makes me feel less like a failure!
