Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Problems - NEVER MIND!

Does anybody here play Roller Coaster Tycoon 3? We just got a new computer with the right kind of graphics card so our boys can now play RCT3. It worked fine yesterday, but today it got hung up and they got the old error message that there is a problem and the game would close. I've tried installing the updates (via the "update" button on the screen when you first insert the disk), but they don't work. I can save the files just fine to the desktop, but when I click on them to run and install the updates, I get an error message that it can't fine "RCT3 Retail (USA)". Is there some special kind of program we need to download to run and install these upgrades? Are the upgrades even necessary? DS's friends say their crashes all the time, so just "do a lot of saving." Thanks!

DUH!! I feel like such a dolt! We have Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 GOLD, and I was downloading the updates to plain old Roller Coaster Tycoon 3.

Between old age and chemo brain (never mind that I had chemo 4 years ago), my mind just isn't working as fast as it should be.

Ok, now back to your regular DIS-ing, sorry to intrude.

Sorry, I can't fix your problem, but I wanted to mention that I haven't had any problems with mine. I haven't done any upgrades on mine though and I doubt DH did (he dosen't even really play). Hope you get it figured out soon, i love that game!!
