I'm not a roller coaster person.....I can handle BTMR and like it quite a bit, but that's pretty much it. How is the Seven Dwarves Mine Train? less intense or more? (don't laugh :) ). Also, how much more intense than BTMR is Space Mountain? I can't handle big drops and all that stuff so I'm assuming EE is too much as well as RRC and TOT.
Any feedback/input is much appreciated.

SDMT is a lot tamer than BTMR. I would stay away from all the others if you don't like drops.

7DMT is less intense than BTMR, so you will be fine on that.

I would agree that EE and RRC are much more intense, so I would avoid those if I were you.

TOT is whole different thing, so I'm not sure if the drops would affect you in the same way as a "forward-facing" roller coaster drop would.

I can't speak for Space Mtn. because DS hates that one (loves all the others) so I haven't been on it in a long time.

7DMT is the tamest roller coaster at WDW. If you can handle BTMR, 7DMT will be a piece of cake. Space Mountain is more intense, not because of any big drops, but because you cannot see them coming. You get tossed around a lot, because you cannot see the drops and hills and brace yourself for them.

7DMT is definitely tame. I was actually surprised last week. It seemed weak compared to how I remembered it from July. BMTRR also seemed tame to what I remembered. I also did Primevil Whirl for the first time. Next trip I am going to brave SM. I thought about trying EE, because only forward or downward facing long drops bother me. Backwards drops and upside down loops don't bother me.

For anyone that dislikes the drop part of coaster, or the drop on splash etc this may be the answer for you too! I chickened out of splash as I HATE the feeling of leaving your stomach behind, it was just too much. Then I read, that if you put your chin on your chest just before you drop (or well in advance if you are not sure where the ebde is!) it stops the feeling. I was petrified the first time I tried this out on splash, but it works! I have since ridden splash numerous times without being terrified, and even Atlantis in Seaward, Jurassic park and ripsaw falls (this one does get you a bit at the end of the drop as it is a lot more intense but still no where NEAR how it should be!). The only downside is that all your ride photos show the top of your head :D It also works on coasters, but not on TofT. TofT is somehow different to me, to the point I actually enjoy the sensation?! I am not sure why that is good compared to the drops on flumes and coasters though, but I know the chin-on-chest method is the only way I will ride any new coaster until I can judge how bad the drop is :D

Space Mountain is my least favorite of the coasters because it's in the dark and so terribly jerky. I'd much rather ride EE and RnR. I dislike dropping so I'm not a fan of ToT.

If you like BTMRR then you should like 7DMT.:-)

As far as the others here's my take:

Space Mountain- the drops aren't really steep but there are a lot if sudden track twists and turns in the dark that can get you a little off balance by the end. Lately I always feel dizzy on that ride - I must be getting old!:crazy2:

Expedition Everest - again not to many big drops- a steep climb up the mountain (my fave part) and then just quick forward and backward smaller hills and winding track. :D

RNRC - no traditional drops- just lots of speed and mostly corkscrew turns. This one doesn't really bother me - but your head can get knocked around a little. o_O

TOT - totally different experience than a coaster. If you like that free fall feeling - you'll love this! My absolute favorite ride! :yay:

Sounds like space mountain might be out for me! I'm not a big roller coaster type of person but I can do tame ones. We have one at our local amusement park that is pretty tame but it jerks you around SO bad that you leave with a headache. No thank you!

This is a great description of each (although I haven't been to 7DMT YET! Few more weeks!)

My daughter went on Space and LOVED it (at 8 years old) but did NOT like Everest - I think it was the going-backwards part. She went on Splash at 5 years old and could take or leave it. I wouldn't let her on R&RC (my fave - I ride it 3 times each trip)

My two year old loved it... also my parents in their 60s went on it and liked it... too mild for the older kids...

It's extremely mild, especially in the front. I would request that if your worried. The drops are so tiny by the time the last cart makes it over the hill the first cart is half way down the hill. Which is why we always request the back. Yet in your case just do the opposite and request the front cart.

Me and my family went in September and road 7DMT, it is a very smooth coaster there is no jerking and once you get into the mine it slows down, and is much tamer than BTMRR.

Okay, so thinking about it....I handled the water drop at Jurassic Park at Islands of Adventure, so I plan to do Splash Mountain. If I can handle Jurassic and Splash, can I handle Tower of Terror? How bad is it? Huge drop? I'm going with just my son who will be 13 and i want to try and limit what he has to go on by himself because it's more fun to experience stuff together..... And i'm still going back and forth on Space Mountain. For sure, i will skip RRC and EE.

My opinion is SDMT is the least intense of those you listed. I would order them like this:

SDMT
BTMRR
Space Mountain
EE
RRC
ToT (just because you get the most free-fall feeling)

Space Mountain to me is much more intense than BTMRR - and more fun and more painful. :-)

All the WDW roller coasters are pretty tame, but Space is the worst, IMHO. Not really scary, just rough and uncomfortable!

I love EE! Super fun. TOT is fun, too. I ride Space once because my kids love it, but that's the most I an handle.

Try EE! It's awesome.

I used to be anti coaster, loved BTMRR due to no big drops. Did space mountain then because the anticipation of the big drop was the worst fo me and being dark wouldnt see it coming. Enjoy space mountain but it is a bit jerky, more in the last seat. Then worked my way up to EE last summer and love it, then tried ToT and love it to. This Dec i try RnRC. 7DMT is a longer version of barnstormer. Not intense, no drops, if you like BTMRR it is similiar but significantly tamer.
