A dive coaster is one that has a 90 degree drop. I had to look it up!

OH and Suzanne....you better call me when you are here!!

Griffon - open only to guests who are 4 feet 6 inches or taller - is getting built on a site that until early July was home to a child-friendly antique car ride. That ride, "Le Mans Raceway," was original to the park, which opened in 1975. Giles said even without Le Mans, Busch Gardens still has a range of rides for children. But he also left open the possibility of bringing back the popular car ride in future years at another site in the park.
"We don't have any plans for that next year," Giles said.

) don't bother her as much because they are a smoother ride.
Obi-Wan Pinobi said:I saw this in the Richmond paper and was totally psyched! I'm saying DIS MEET when they open up! Not sure if Lauri will go on it or not. She loves coasters but a lot of them end up hurting her really badly. The suspension coasters like Alpengiest (her favorite coaster which will be next door to the Griffon) don't bother her as much because they are a smoother ride.
We went to Kings Dominion a couple of years ago and went on Volcano which was great and didn't bother her joints. But then we got nostalgic and went on the Rebel Yell. Poor thing. By the time the coaster made it to the top of the hill she was screaming. Not from fear - from pain. She couldn't walk without me holding her up when she got off that stupid thing.![]()

I'm hoping they have it open on the passholders preview day but I'm not sure if they will or not.

She didn't realize there was the small drop prior to the big one.. thought she was going over the big drop and braced herself, closed her eyes, held her breath and everything. Then when it didn't happen she opened her eyes and exhaled - right as the coaster went down the big hill and you know the force of that thing going down that hill. Well she couldn't breathe no less scream due to the force.
Mouth wide open like she was caught in mid scream but not a peep coming out of her.
Then we didn't know about the second place on the coaster where they shoot you off (we were the first train going out that day) and it caught her again.

But I went on it and my kids wanted to go again so we went) and I ended up loving it. But my 6yo is really wanting to go so that's why we're trying to hold off until he's tall enough. Of course if there's a DIS meet we might not be able to wait. For comparison purposes, SheikRa is probably the smoothest coaster I've ever ridden and the seats are very comfortable too, so I'm betting this new one will be right there with it.Obi-Wan Pinobi said:Not sure if Lauri will go on it or not. RnR was probably part of the trigger for one. If I spike TMJ pain, then it's 50/50 that a migraine will follow.Tigger&Belle said:Turn me upside down and inside out and I'm fine, but a big climb and a big hill and I shake like a leaf on a maple tree during a hurricane.

Imagine if you will, sitting outside the villians shop with a root beer and chocolate covered strawberry. You inhale the nasal imitrex and then consume the strong flavored items so that your tongue doesn't pick up the bitter flavor of the medicine and cause you to 'dump it'.
I'm loving these new coasters for that.
I'm taking the most awful uncoated penicillin for my strep throat and you should see me quickly suck on a chewable Vitamin C after swallowing the Penicillin. It is so yucky. Same when I take the dissolving Maxalt for migraines, which I don't usually take (but it works faster than the caplets I usually take).Obi-Wan Pinobi said:You and Lauri sound exactly alike! Like I said earlier - twist that girl upside down in a corkscrew and she's as happy as a clam!![]()
Hey, where is Sugardrawers? BG is her hometown. We need to make sure that she and her hubby are there if we do a DIS meet!
Yes, they'll need to be at the meet. I'd love to meet her!isyne4u said:Dis Meet...I'm in!! Please please please let me come too! Please!!!!
The only coaster that ever gave me headaches was the one at BG that they removed a few years ago and gave to someone else. I don't remember the name but it banged me around so bad i thought I had whiplash!

Inject as in shot?Poohnatic said:T&B, that's why I only used the samples of the Maxalt! Now I inject-and am so happy that it comes that way.
