$371.15! We were using a big Snyders Pretzel jug but only let it get 2/3 way full before rolling it. I am taking the coins this morning to the bank and will buy 1 adult and 1 child 4 day park hopper passes with it! I will only need 3 more passes as only 3 of the kids are going to WDW with us next March. I hopefully will have enough change by Christmas to buy 2 more passes! THis is a painless way to save for WDW!!

I agree! It adds up quickly and you never even miss it! I actually have a savings account set up for my necessary items like hotel, food, tickets, gas, etc. that I have faithfully put in $100 every payday since I started planning the trip. So our change jar is going to be used for EXTRA stuff like ice cream in the park since everything else is already budgeted for.

I got my jar down last week to roll it but didn't have enough money rollers. I did get a close idea though. I thought that I might have $50-$75 in there but I counted at least $140 before I stopped!

That's a lot of ice cream!!!!!

The kids and I rolled our change a few weeks ago and went to get Disney Dollars with it. DD (3) had $185, DS (12) and $150 and I had $375!!!!!

That is some major change and we all started new banks with about 6 months left to save!!!!

It is a very good and painless way to save for Disney!!!

Don't you love all of those coins men hate to have in their pockets and accumulate at the bottom of women's purses?

It is a terrific way to save for extras!

A friend once saved for a trip by saving $5 bills she received in change. She tucked them into a separate pocket in her purse until she was home, then transferred them to a "secret" place. She saved about $3000 in six months. The friend who suggested it to her did the same with $10 bills.

Have to admit, I rarely receive $10 bills in change, and even $5 bills for that matter! But about two months before a trip, I save $1 bills that I receive in change until I have a nice stash for tips.

Imagine how fast the fund grows putting $20 into it every week along with loose change and odd dollars. I've only been saving since the beginning of May and I only need $40 more dollars and our hopper passes are paid for. Now of course I'm basing this on the Play 4 hopper passes that have come out for FL residents every year for the last 5 years. If not, then I need another $190+ dollars!! I'm sure those passes will come out though, so that will be hopper passes paid for. I will work on the hotel room next....rack rate of course, so I can come out on top when codes come out. I'm telling ya, when my trip arrives in 2006, it will be looooooooooong paid for! :thewave: :cool1:

That's so cool!! We also have a big plastic jar that we toss our change into. It's not even halfway filled yet... We're working on it! :p

Congrats everyone. I've been saving since Feb. and rolled mine up a week ago and had only $86 in change but saved $115 in hard cash as well. Keep on saving and Yes it is painless.

Wow that's great. DD has been saving her change all year and loves to check all the furniture after company leaves. She always finds spare change from people's pockets. We also have a rule that whoever does the wash gets any money they find in pockets. DD has saved up $125 already for our trip.

We started saving last June for our trip for this August- well, we decided to go back for a quick trip at the end of January and had $205. We started saving again when we got back for our August trip- we're hoping to have at least $200 when we roll the coins up in July....

Good job! I was really excited tonite when DD & I had $22.16 in the little redwing dish on the counter. That will take care of a meal. Its pretty good for me since I use almost exclusively plastic to pay for everything!
