Thanks, xnascar2x. I'm now primed for a fight. My TA just told me that once you pay in full, DCL does not pass on the savings to the consumer if they drop rates. I'll never book w/these people again!

I just spoke with my TA at All Seasons, and it appears Disney is doing a fire sale on Cat 11s to fill the ship, so if you booked a Cat 11, you should call and see. That is why there are also a lot of upgrades on this sailing, they move you into the higher priced rooms so that they can sell all the 11s (better chance of selling them this close to sailing).

We are booked in a Cat 11 room and the sale is for Cat 11's, so that might be the reason that Disney refunded us the difference in price. I would still put up a fight if I was you.

Thanks for the additional info (explains why my friend's cabin isn't less $$). We are booked in cat 11's. I called DCL, & they said for my TA to call & they would reimb. the difference. My TA was NOT pleased w/me when I called back to correct them. If I booked w/DCL directly yesterday, I would save $335 (from what I already paid). If I booked yesterday w/the same TA, I'd save $800. We'll see what # they come back with. I should be getting my docs today, too.

Finally got the docs!! Now I can relax and enjoy the next 2 weeks. I called about our cat. 9 room. No sale for that one. I got a cheaper rate through cruise 411 than Disney would give me now, so I am satisfied. We are in 2572. Yeah, gotta fill out my forms. See ya soon

That is one reason why I book with All Seasons. After 9/11 Disney dropped the price on our upcomiung cruise by over $1,000. This was before DisBoards so I had no idea of the reduction. All Seasons called and got the reduction for me without any direction whatsoever. They could have kept that money and I would have been none the wiser. They also tend to hold a good number of cabins at really good prices.

I got to meet the owner, Chuck Madia and his wife on our May of 2002 Magic cruise (this was the second western sailing), as they were on the ship at the same time. Very nice people and they went out of their way to make sure and stop by to meet us at diner one night.

Anyhow, I like doing business with them.

We leave Friday, so only 17 days to go!

How's the fight going with your TA?

Well, I did it! Just booked cat 11 for 9-6-03. Guess what, they imediately upgraded us to cat 9!! We'll be lower on the ship, but at least we'll be able to see out. Has anyone been upgraded to a veranda, yet? That would be so cool. It's our first Disney cruise, but DH and I went on RCI last Dec. We're taking DD9 and DS3 this time. I just love these last minute vacations! Should we all plan to meet somewhere on board? Didn't I read somewhere about a secret veranda on deck 7?

Congrats cynjam... So happy for you and your upgrade We are in the count-down mode now, so let's get this party started! I hope we can all get together also. We have to meet up with Nate and family who are also on our cruise. What time is a good time? I was thinking on the first sea-day, because the first day is so busy. If not on deck 7, what about the conference room on dect 2, since alot of us are on 2? Everyone throw in their suggestions, and we will finalize by next week-end. What do you think? I would love to meet everyone here. I am having trouble (virus?) with home computer, so will check up here from work.

15 Days to Go!

14 days for us. We leave the day before. I had success w/the TA yesterday. They still tried to play games, though. Now to watch my credit card to make sure the credit goes through. (see more in my post, "Fighting w/TA. Need advise." I'd love to get together on the ship. Sadly, we didn't get an upgrade. There's still hope for one at the terminla for all the hassle I've been through, but I'm not holding my breath - LOL.

As some of you might know, we did get an upgrade. Our upgrade came because of our son and we will have a verandah. That works out well since he is now known as "Verandah Boy"!
Incharge, we would love to meet up with you. Please let us know of a good place. We have never been on a Disney cruise so we know next to nothing about the ship.
The waiting is more than I can take!!! In a moment of insanity, I agreed to be VP of PTO at my sons school this year and I also got asked to host the school dances. Two are next week and I have not been able to give them my full attention because all I can think about is the CRUISE!
My dh's job very well may be in danger because he has done nothing at work but surf the net for anything about Disney cruises!
I simply can not wait any longer....HELP!!!!!

Does anybody know how many from the boards are going to be on board? That may be a factor in deciding where to meet. The first day at sea sounds to me, as far as when.

what about right after the sail-away when everyone is probably already up on the deck? We could all meet, say, on deck 10 or ESPN SKYBOX on 11. Which is best for everyone? We won't take up much of everyones' time, just to say "hi, we finally made it!)
