hey gang! no docs yet, I too saw the FedEx truck but alas.......he kept on goin'! I KNOW they'll get here soon.

Busy weekend. The draft for my son's hockey division was last night. Greg and I are convenors so we had to be there -- it lasted from 8-11:30pm. These kids are only 10~!!!!!!!!! Of course in just the age 10 boys there are 12 teams of 16 and over 100 kids on the waiting list! (Our town only with pop. around 150,000 ~~ do you think they like hockey here???????) It really was something to see!!!!!!!!!!! You'd think we were the NHL

No time for sickness here. Girls start hockey next week, I'm already tired and the seasons are just starting

Denine ~~ now tell me, HOW did you get to do TWO 7-dayers in a row???????? THAT would be GREAT!!!!!!!!! You are going to be so relaxed when we get there you might just forget we're coming!

Glad Garry's knee will be a little better~~ if not I guess he'll just have to park himself on a stool at the bar all day -- what a shame that would be

Stomach flu? YUUUUUUUUUCK! I feel I threw up so much during all my pregnancies I should be done for the rest of my life!!!!????

I'm gonna NEED a drink Oct. 5th! Suppose to be at church for the kids group I chair from 5-9pm. At the hockey arena (with my convenors hat on) from 4-8pm. At Ian's hockey game at 7:30pm. And the girls' hockey draft skate at 7:15pm. Not sure how I'm gonna do this ................ I'll DEFINATELY be toasting you around 10pm (my time....)!!!!

Denine - I THINK my parents are going to come to the wine tasting -- my Dad, Garry, is a radiologist and his wife, Penny, is an oncology nurse. My DH, Greg, runs an aluminum welding wire manufacturing company (mechanical engineer with an MBA).

Diana did it--700th post. Yea, Lori. Now, I don't have to worry about you. You ARE coming. Good to hear Garry is doing better. I bet he can't wait for PT. YUCK! Stomach flu and kidney stones. Hope EVERYONE is doing better.

My daughter's cruise went great. Had rain Friday night in Nassau. At Castaway Cay, they had dark, thunderous clouds so were ordered out of the ocean. A little while later it cleared and the sun came out. They were lucky! She said she likes the Wonder better because the employees are much more friendly. Oops-CM's. We have befriended a lady CM on the Wonder and she said that a lot of the CM's started on the Magic and were transferred over to the Wonder when it was built. They have been together for so long and have made a family. Also, the training was much more Disney intense for them.

CHEERS to those of you that can't make it on October 5th. I think we will have a fabulous time. And of course, lunch with Lori on Friday. I think by now most of you know what kind of time I will have with her.

Twinsmom: I laughed so hard at your post. I too would have done the same thing if I hadn't gotten my docs yet.

Daina: I was so surprised to see that your father's name is also Garry (spelled with 2 r's - that is I read your post correctly) I told my Garry and he said that's the only way to spell it! He also said that I guess he never got anything with him name on it either.

Scholls: I hope you'll be feeling better real soon. That must be so painful. I'll be thinking of you!!!

Krista: Been there, done that, with the stomach flu. It isn't fun at all! Hopefully since we had it, we won't get sick before or during the cruise knock on wood! EVERYONE THINK HEALTHY!!!!!!!

Allright, the story of our 2 cruises: We booked this cruise last year on board. The 19th is our 11th anniversary. We always (almost) travel to Disney on our anniversary. Many people that were on our cruise last year picked the week of the 12th so they could do the Western. We decided at the beginning of the year that we wanted to go someplace in the summer. Found out the prices were way too expensive, especially since we went on our 10 day Panama Canal cruise in April. After thinking it over, we decided to go with our DIS friends from last year on the 10-12 cruise. We booked it with DVC points so it would be less expensive. So now, in less than 3 weeks, we will be in Heaven, 2 weeks on the Disney Magic!

Hopefully the hurricanes will stay away, but I am up for a mystery cruise. Tropical storm Lilly is headed to St. Thomas on Wednesday, the day the Magic is supposed to be there!

I am getting tired of posting about going on the cruises. I just want to be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After looking through my docs and putting them back into their cute, fat envelope ... I was walking away and this 'Happy Dance' just kinda struck me! So, I'm singin' "do,deedo,tedoo", dog's lookin' at me funny, I'm hoppin' around .. and I twisted my knee!!!
I just laid there and laughed!
It's already better, but gosh, considering this group, that was just too goofy.

Dudette #1, I don't plan on getting the Internet, but if you are offering, I wouldn't mind checking my email one time.
Looking back, this is kinda embarrassing that I filled a whole page.

Oh, and mine came via Airborne Express. One end freshly soaked with coffee. Did I care? Nope. In fact, the coffee smelled so good, I went and made myself a cup.

Internet: I plan on getting the internet, Jeanne & Joyce know I can't go without touching a computer for very long. I forget how it works but once I sign up if you need just a password I will be happy to share. I will probably be on very early in the morning or late at night. I am usually up to watch the sunrise.

Bon Voyage Party in Denver: Will someone print off the Dudettes picture from the web site and prop us up at the restaurant? It will kinda be like we're there. YOu could even prop a drink in front of us. After all we are cheap dates!

Oh one more question for Sandy: DId your daughter go to Palo's for dinner? If so was the Manager Ambroggio (SP?) ? I saw on another thread that he was managing Palo's. They weren't happy with him but he was our head waiter last year and we thought he was great! Cute too!

MY daughter just got back on Saturday from her cruise to Bermuda. They had great weather and only one day of rough seas. She said that there were a lot green people on board. It only lasted one day and then they had smooth sailing.

Bonnie, my DD said that the manager of Palo's was somewhat shorter than her dad who is 6'2", chubby and had light hair. She couldn't remember his name. Joyce, my daughter had such calm waters that she was disappointed. They couldn't even feel the boat until the last night and they could barely feel it then. You know on the first night how the ship really hauls and half the people are turning green, none of that this time. We certainly will be thinking of all you at our bon voyage party. Cheap dates, huh? Does that mean diet coke?

I'm glad your daughter is back. I'm sure glad we aren't going this Sat. I hope that the calm seas will be with us in 3weeks and not storms! I don't want to have a rough and stormy trip! On our 4 day Wonder cruise 2000 we had yucky wheather. It poured all day at Nassau, Castaway was a no no (the hurricane took out half the dock and the ship couldn't dock due to the dock and the water current), the day at sea was cold and rainy so went to Key West (no substitute for Castaway). It was was the ONLY sunny day (cool but sunny). So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for warm sunny weather!!!!!!!!! NO STORMS and everyone be healthy!

Dudette1: I liked your game and was tickled to see the question! I thought is was a fun idea. I am looking for lime green, but can't find any! I guess we will just wear a ribbon on our clothes. Knowing me, I'll put ribbons on everything! Does anyone know if we are to make Palo's ressies at Palo's or did they move it? I had heard they moved it to the Rock'n D Bar. Anyone have the info?

Yes Sandy we are very cheap dates... Diet Pepsi and Iced Tea. While on the cruise we will try to Party with the best this time. Last time we were in bed by 11PM but we have vowed to stay up and party so if we have dark circles under our eyes midway you'll understand. THat's why I liked it when someone referred to us as "Wild Women!"
That does sound like Ambroggio all except the chubby part. Maybe he gained the weight I lost!

Julie I will bring something for the "Big Guy" since you couldn't participate in the game.

I hope the ship hauls at least once during this cruise. I love it! I did the Titanic thing at the front of the ship and loved it!!!

I hope everyone is staying healthy now! I'm a little worried. Ususally have bronchitis by this time and no sign of it yet. I hope it doesn't show up next month.

I called Disney yesterday and after being on hold for 10
minutes they gave me some really lame excuse about the
military discounts. First she said we didn't qualify when I questioned this ...again hold hold hold. She said because they are all gone. This is the second discount they have told me I couldn't have.

Barb, that stinks! Don't give up. Call again with some more info in hand. Ask on that other thread for the exact route that they used to get it refunded. Only if it was advertised somewhere that the military discount was for a specfic time period, which might now be over, would I accept that. Saying that "they are all gone" doesn't sound right.

good but on "our" cruise it was all gone. I will try again when

Barb:Keep calling for the discount. I checked a couple of websites and there seems to be quite a few cabins available.

It sounds like Oct. 5 should be fun. We expect a trip report from that dinner.

I hope everyone is feeling well today, no sickies allowed although it sounds like we will be covered with all the medical personal.

Denine:I am so jealous about your 5 pounds. Of course, on me, you would never know if I lost 5 pounds.
