I love my new Jiminy, too, Susan. We found him on Disney Galaxy. I don't know how to put it here so will email you the site.

I agree, Bonnie. It is very quiet. So many MIA's.

Susan, I emailed Lori when I couldn't get on the board. I "shamed" her for speaking for me regarding her memory book. But---she did do a beautiful job. I mean it was perfect. Just don't tell her that!!!!

Bonnie, Ted keeps saying "I could fix that for her". Too bad you don't live here!!! So----what is your long distance phone bill like?

We are going to Neal Diamond tomorrow night. I can't wait. The only thing I hate about it is that Denver is having a big huge fireworks display going on downtown. Where are they going to park all of us and them plus all the people going to the clubs. We like to use the light rail but I bet the parking lots fill up rather early. What to do, what to do!!

Sandy, glad you made it back!!! I love your new Jiminy picture.
Don't use the light rail on New Year's Eve!!! We did that a couple of years ago and it was SO crowded! The train wouldn't pull out because people were packing on so tight with their BUTTS hanging out the door, the door wouldn't close! So there we all were packed like sardines after waiting about 7 trains to even get on, and then not going anywhere! You don't know the joys of humanity until you've been packed in with a bunch of ticked off drunks. It was free that night, so maybe it wouldn't be quite so over used, but then again, there are more functions going on downtown this time too. OK, I'll get off my soapbox...
Hi Everybody!!!
Laurie, I want to see Momma Mia TOO. I love ABBA. Is there a web site with the schedule of cities?
Bonnie, it's probably not slow due to lurkers, just plain so much stuff going on. Plus, if Ben saw how much time I spend on the computer, he'd give me a harder time about the messy house!
Hi Susan! Glad to see you are keeping Bonnie company too.
Darren, we're thinking of you OFTEN.
See you all. Lori

Good morning to all! Sorry I have been slacking lately. I was trying to clean up the house from Christmas, but with all the new toys and stuff, I don't think my house will ever get clean.

Sandy, I love your new jiminy! He is so cute. I'm glad to see you made it back to the boards too! Hopefully you will work it out so Ted can post too. I know Garry would love to have another male on the boards. Have a great time at Neil Diamond tonight and please be safe!

Bonnie, I have missed our chats lately. I will try to get on tomorrow for awhile before the evening festivities! I will be staying at home tonight. Garry has to work until 11 pm so we will not be going anywhere.

To everyone:

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!

If I don't get on before everyone leaves to do their "thing" tonight, have a very safe and happy New Year!

Let's ring in the new Baby New Year! Let's ALL make it back safe and healthy!

Sorry about that Lianna!

Well...the antibiotic has started to work I hope! No headache this morning so that's a good sign!! Although I know it doesn't work that quickly.

Sandy- have fun at Neil Diamond... I love him!! I am very envious. I wish Ted was here to fix my plumbing problems!! I called Jeanne's plumber to fix the last (I hope!) pipe but he never called back! That is why I pay more I guess, to get it done! As far as long didtance ...phone cards! 3.4 cents per minute! Not bad at all. God bless the person who invented them!!!

Julie-Thank heavens!!! I was going to send out the troops if you hadn't posted this morning! Your big sister was concerned!!

Happy New Year all!!!!!!!!

Miss you...Barb, Patty, Mom, Laurie, Krista, Diana, Darren and anyone I may have forgotten at this early hour. Post soon!

Joyce & I worked yesterday together on her birthday. Boy did she have a bad Christmas - her youngest daughter ended up in the hospital down the shore with a severe asthma attack on Christmas Eve & stayed in until last Friday! Joyce did not get to celebrate Christmas until December 27th.

Sandy I love your new Jiminy. I have never seen anything like it.
Neil Diamond is one of my favorites but let me see if you know this one "Your so sweet horseflies keep buzzin around your face, Kentucky moonshine could never take your place..." Only TRUE Neil Diamond fans know that song.

I will be celebrating the New Year with Dick Clark since I have to work New Years Day.

At 10:00 A.M. today a Detective is coming to interview me about my son attending the Police Academy so I had to clean the house.

Bonnie: I told you Paul was the kind of Plumber that you had to NAG & tell him it is an EMERGENCY.

I will try to get back on later after my "INTERVIEW". Have a great day. Toodles:wave: :earsgirl: Jeanne

Well we are back from our traveling Christmas.
Clare has strep, but is fine. THis child has such a high tolerance for pain. She refuses to say her throat hurts. The doctor did a strep test last night and it came back in 2 minutes. She said when it does that it is surely strep. Glad she is not hurting, I hated strep.

Another party tonight. Eek, just home and having a NYE party for 30. THis one I will get a little help on. I made the dips and am making chili (easy) and others will bring the veggies and crackers and sweets.

David got one of those outdoor heaters for x-mas so we're hoping it heats the patio well. If not we will be having frozen drinks, since I am setting up the bar outside.

Clare got a Lilo and Stitch big wheel for x-mas and is wheeling around the whole house.
Bonnie: She sleeps with her "lady" every night.

Katie: you should enter the young people's poetry contests. You are great.

Darren: Oh, I can tell there are going to be stories.......

Laurie: Are you back yet? Wasn't it fun?

Lori: We are trying to plan a long weekend ski trip in a month or so. What is good skiing down south (ie. shorter drive time)?

HAPPY AND SAFE NEW YEAR'S TO ALL. SORRY FOR THOSE WORKING, BUT AT LEAST YOU WILL BE OFF THE STREETS. GARRY, IF YOU ARE ON THEM, WATCH OUT!!!

Krista

Oct. 16, 2004 Eastern quote.
2 adults, 1 5-year old, cat. 6=
drumroll please.

$3000

not too bad

Krista

Krista, you're reunion cruise timer kills me. The quote was pretty good for a catagory 6. Might have to check it out. If we go we would like the Western. Poor Clare. Strep is never fun. Have fun at your party. Actually, if the heater doesn't heat up all that well it won't be a disaster. A lot of people love frozen drinks. Ha!

Jeanne, I AM a true fan but not sure about your quote. Please help me, it is killing me. So, you only clean the house when a detective comes? I am cleaning the bedroom because someone is coming over to check out our lumpy mattress. Should I clean the living room, too? She has to walk through there to get to our bedroom. Just checking to see what is kosher.

Bonnie, we use calling cards, too. We quit using a service because of all the fees. My dd is leaving for Mexico tomorrow and is taking one with her.

Sue, have fun with the sight. My dd loved the Monsters Inc. clip art.

Lori, got your email. You really like to start trouble, don't you. Sorry I got back on so fast! I was afraid that you might try speaking for me again. So----you were one of those people trying to squeeze on the light rail with my dd a couple of years ago. She had some horror stories, also. The light rail will be free after 7 tonight.

Julie, glad you posted. I, too, was wondering what happened to you. Doesn't it feel like you will never get your house back in order after Christmas? You never have enough room for the old and new.

Ted, good morning. I'll check your email to see if they sent you the confirmation that you can post. I know that you were lurking yesterday so you probably will today.

:D HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE. STAY SAFE! :D

Happy New Years Eve Everyone!!

I have been really busy at work. People are so stressed right
now that I am getting lots of calls.

Happy 18 Birthday Jaymee!!! My baby is 18 today.
How could she be that old already??

This is such a busy month and expensive!! We have 5 birthdays
plus Christmas in Dec and Jan. Yikes!! I am trying to keep up.:(

Bonnie- Thank you for missing me. It always makes me feel good to see I am missed!! Don't feel bad my Mom did not even say goodbye to me she dropped her dogs off and left.

Sandy and Lori- I really want to come up for lunch sometime. We should set a time in Jan and I will take a half day off and come up.
I want to see the scrap book!! Especially since Sandy raves about it!

Hi everybody just seeing if I can get on yet. Bonnie, I am not sure where your problem is with your plumbing but it sounds like you are making the right decision to have a plumber fix the pipe. Hopefully you will get it fixed by the end of the week.

Lori, I think Sandy and I are going to be adventurous and take the light rail down to the Neil Diamond concert. It doesn’t matter how long it will take to get back from the concert since Sandy will not have the kids the next day.

Better get going since I am doing this at work.

Everybody have a safe New Years and Garry have some fun but not too much fun harassing the drunks.

Ted

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

What is "The Light Rail"??

Wooo hoo the rates are finally out for Oct of 2004.

Any idea why the Western is more expensive??

We are thinking of doing the Eastern again Oct 16 to 23 2004
Less expensive and the dates line up with a break in the schools here.

Any input????

Bonnie: I hope you are feeiling better, but since misery loves company, you've got it. I came down with a sinus infection yesterday. I woke up with a sore throat and sinus pressure/pain. Luckily I had antibiotics on hand. so started those right away.

Sandy: Have a fun time. We went to a Neal Diamond concert before we got married. Is the quote from Kentucky Woman?
The light rail sounds as fun as the Rapid Transit here.

We will be headed to my friends house tonight. We are supposed to be there at 5 PM. I don't know how late we will stay since I have to work tomorrow morning. I am putting the pork roast and sauerkraut in the crockpot when we get home and leaving it there for 12 hours. I'll make the dumplings later, no time for spatzle.

Happy New Year to everyone!!!!!!
:jester:

I'M BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got back late last night from Indianapolis....the traffic coming through Chicago was hell and with over a dozen of us caravaning there were too many potty stops!! :p

The show was FANTASTIC !!! Some in our group had already seen it in NYC, Boston and Milwaukee so they filled us in on what to expect. We were all dolled up in feather boas and tiaras....after all we were the DANCING QUEENS!!! You know, like the song says -- young and sweet, only 17!! :p I guess that we must have made quite a spectacle of ourselves. When we were outside the theatre after the show desperately trying to get 4 cabs to takes us back to the hotel, the cast came outside to leave and THEY wanted THEIR PICTURE taken with US!!!!!! It was a riot!!! It tooks us a LONG TIME to find some cab drivers brave enough to take us back. It was so much fun!!!!!

Tonight we are having some people over for dinner, beef tenderloin, shrimp, caesar salad, asparagus, twice baked potatoes.....anyone hungry???? Tomorrow night we are having John's family here to celebrate his mom's birthday but we are just having pizza and munchies!!

Ted & Sandy -- Have a great time tonight!! We have seen him twice in concert and he puts on a great show!!

Not much else here to report.......but Happy New Year to everyone!!!:jester:

--- Laurie aka The Dancing Queen

We still have not heard anything about the Castaway Club!:(

Who all has received their information and number? Has anyone
price the cruise with and without it?? Does it make much difference??

Welcome back, Barb. Been wondering about you. The light rail is mass transit. It is like the monorail but doesn't go as fast. It runs along Santa Fe (hwy 85) into downtown Denver with several stops. That is how our girls go to school down there. It is quite expensive but they can go for free with their school ID's. The western cruise is more expensive because it has one more port so therefore more port fees.

Hi Laurie, so glad you had sooo much fun. It sounded terrific! Wish I could have gone with! Wow, wish I was going to your house. The meal sounds terrific. Makes me hungry.

Denine, have fun and stay safe.

What a blast Laurie. I'm glad it went off so well. I think you'll be my roll model for getting out of this house for good ol' FUN one of these days.
