Sandy - I would like to say THANKYOU!, THANKYOU!, THANKYOU!, THANKYOU!, THANKYOU!, I fact I can't say thankyou enough to you and Ted for your gift!!! I love it, it is so cute, I have put it in a prime position on display and now whenever I see it I will think of you and of course all of my new friends from the October 19th Cruise. I hope you have a great Christmas Day!!!

We wish you a Merry CHristmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year!!!

I guess I am a silly this morning. I already had my best Christmas gift ever and I haven't even opened a present yet! I

Well I did open one...Thank you sooo much Jeanne for the EPCOT charm. I love it!!
Jeanne knows that EPCOT is my favorite WDW park...she tolerates it for me! Or at least lets me stay there as she and Joyce go off to other parks. LOL! At least I had company this year for my wanderings around the world! TEE HEE!

Merry CHristmas all. I hope you all enjoyed the Clementon Santa!

Hope Santa was good to all of you and that you weren't a "Naughty Girl" or Boy! Bonnie the invite is still on for dinner. Just be here at 5:00 P.M. I'm glad you liked your Epcot charm.
Church was beautiful. I went to 8:00 A.M. Mass. Then came home and put the turkey in the oven. The house smells sooooo good. Of course, I am watching the DISNEY PARADE!!!!!

Have a great holiday! Don't eat too much!

Poor Working Garry. Poor Working Disney Dudette #3 too!

Miss you all. Toodles  :earsgirl: Jeanne DD#2

I haven't posted in awhile, so had a lot of reading to do. We are down in Dallas with David's whole family.
Meanwhile, Bentonville has been buried in snow. 12 inches or so, I hear. Hmmm. Will be going to tulsa on Friday and they received 8-10 inches.
Clare can't wait for snow and snowmen.

Bonnie: A mountie, how peachy!!
Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary to Garry and Laurie.
Krista kicks it up a knotch....Too funny. I can really go huh?

Darren, I'm helping you count down.

By the way gals, Darren is a guy too. Remember the Secret Sister talk.

We have already watched Lilo and Stitch twice, and can't wait to see Clare on her Lilo Big Wheel in Tulsa.

Merry Christmas to all of our newfound friends. You all are special to us.

Krista

Well, I'm home already. We were the first ones for dinner at my DIL's aunts house in Bucks county. We left NJ and it was raining, on the way there the rain changed to freezing rain, then snow mix then straight snow. THe roads were pretty bad at that point.
Anyway we waited around for 1 1/2 for the rest of the family to arrive. I called friends back in Jersey and it was really coming down according to them. I panicked and said we should go. As my son and DIL walked in I said Merry Christmas, hello & goodbye and we were out of there! 4WD were getting stuck on the hills over there. Of course the closer we got to NJ the clearer the roads were.
They were kind enough to pack up some food for my mom and I to take with us. So much for seeing my one and only son on Christmas.

Well, I hope you all had a terrific white Christmas.
Be careful what you wish for right? LOL!

We just got home from my brother's house. We ate way too much and I drank almost too much bubbly!!! We had a great time and Turner had a great Christmas. He got his Playstation2 and has been playing a hockey game all morning and as soon as we got back in the door this evening he was back at it!! I guess that is what the Christmas break is all about for him!

Bonnie - so sorry you didn't get to spend a lot of time with your son for Christmas!!:( Glad you are home and safe, however.

Home everyone else out in the snow (that we do not have in North Carolina) is safe traveling around! It's just cold, cloudy and windy here. We had rain yesterday but at least not today.

I have to work tomorrow and Turner's hockey team plays during the intermission of our local minor league team's game in the evening. I'll try to check in when I can.

Darren - let us know if you planned any excursions for your trip and keep us posted along the planning way. Even though we won't be going with you we can always live the fantasy!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas. Miss you all!!

Merry Christmas Everyone! It was a very nice Christmas except for Garry having to leave and go to work. This was the first time in 9 years that we have been together and he has had to work on Christmas. It just didn't feel the same! Anyways, we still tried to have a nice morning! We were awoke at 5:50 am to Makenzie turning on our bedroom light and yelling Santa Clause was here, Santa Clause was here! We told her that's nice go back to bed for alittle while since daddy had to go to work and needed to sleep alittle longer. You see she usually doesn't get up until 9-9:30am. So her big sister (Anna Marie her half sister) who was also awoken by Makenzie took her back downstairs and they watched Rudolph in their bedroom. Then at 10 to 8 she came upstairs again truned on the light and restated that Santa had come. SO, we got up and the unwrapping began! We let the Big Guy sleep since he is battling a nasty cold. He did get up about 9:45 and he got to unwrap his presents with everyone watching! Then Anna Marie was picked up (tears were shed because both little ones wanted their sister to stay and play) and Daddy got ready for work and left. It was very strange to see him go off to work when we usually go over to my mothers and open gifts with them (which this year we are going to do it on saturday instead). One nice thing about this morning (besides the presents) was we awoke to about 9 inches (maybe even more) of the beautiful white stuff......SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( Sorry Denine I know you don't like the stuff) It has been 7 years since Cleveland has had a White Christmas like this! We actually had to plow the drive before Garry left for work.

I'm glad to see that everyone has had a nice christmas! I hope your dinner was as good as it sounded Jeanne! I wish we were there to partake in it!:teeth:

Turner, glad you got your playstation 2. I hope you have an awesome winter vacation now.

Bonnie, sorry you didn't get to visit with your son as long as you wanted. If I knew you were going to be home, I would have called you to wish you a Merry Christmas. I was feeling alittle blah with Garry at work and it was just me and the two little ones, one of which wasn't feeling too good. I hope you GOT everything you were WISHING for!

Darren, glad to hear from you! You have to promise that when you get back from your cruise, you have go to let us know how it was! We wish we could be packed in you luggage! Have a glass of wine and think of us!

Everyone else, MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope you had an excellent day! TTFN! I'll be back later!

My Christmas was a very good one despite not having dinner with my son and his wife. I had some very long phone calls Christmas Eve and Christmas day that made my Christmas. I got everything I wanted!!

Julie: I am so sorry Garry had to work. I was lucky when I worked in the hospital. I only had to work one Christmas in all the years and it was tough especially with little ones. I left my AIM on thinking you may be lonely but then I figured you were busy with the kids and family. At least it was a white Christmas and hopefully with all the snow Garry wasn't kept too busy.

Turner: Don't get addicted to that Playstation!! It can happen! Personally I can't play them. I am an old Pac Man person myself!

Krista it was great hearing from you. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

Don't forget all that Mom will be off to WDW and the cruise even before Darren!! Although I think Darren has her beat in the excitement department.

Jeanne I guess I should have taken you up on the dinner invitation! Oh well... I hope everything turned out well. I'm sure it did since you are so organized. How I envy your organiztion!

See you all tonight. Off to work now!

A very merry day after Christmas.....we went out to Barb's for the day. It began with the unwrapping of a million gifts. Barb kept saying the kids wasn't getting much but the gifts were surrounding the tree into the room.

Patti and Barb got me a tv that plays tapes too that I can use in the van or in my workshop and Dick got me a digital camera which I didn't think I wanted. He has one I use so I didn't think I needed one and just wanted a regular camera. But he showed me how to develop my pictures right off the computer after we load the pictures from the camera into it. Of course he is going to be sorry as he created a monster. I will go through the ink like crazy.

I have to get serious today and get packed, write out some checks, do some laundry and clean the house. I am going to leave all the Christmas decorations up until after I get home in January.

Bonnie, I am with you....I loved Pac Man....Barb got the family a play station 2 and it just isn't the same. They had a dancing game they were playing yesterday and Bob even got in the act. We all laughed so hard watching the antics they were going through. We played cards, ate and went to see Lion King on IMax last night to end a perfect day.

I am excited to be going to WDW and a cruise but the best part is getting to be with my older daughter and most of her family. There will be l0 of us. Her older son and his family lives in Austraila so they won't be with us but we did get to talk and see them on a camcorder on the tv. The things they have now days is amazing...

Julie, sorry Gary had to work Christmas. It can't be much fun not to have your husband with you. Hope Santa brought you everything you wanted otherwise.

Barb has to work today and Patti volunteered so one of the other women could have the day off to spend with her daughters that are visiting.

Patti's surprise came off great....the kids were surprised and excited about the cruise mom and dad are taking them on...not too sure who is going to have the most fun...Patti or the kids.

I wish a very Happy New Year to each and everyone of you....

Merry Day after Christmas!

I am back to work today. Lucky me. I am the only one here
so far. The kids are going skiing today. Burrrrr!

We had a great Christmas.Mom got me a George Forman grill. I brought all the books in to work with me today to try and figure it out.

I am trying also to get my paperwork read and signed for DVC. I am trying to understand "Banking" points. Lots or reading. Hope I can make my reservation for next year. I have my number but the contract says something about not being able to use it until the paperwork is done.

Hello!
I am totally exhausted. The official snow total was 11.2 inches, but Jerry thinks we got more than a foot where we are. At least the roads were pretty decent.

I didn't work Christmas this year, but I did last year, in the morning. When I worked at the hospital, I had to work Chrismas evening one time. It was better than working Christmas Eve. I am working on New Year's Day. It will be my first day back since before vacation in October.

I have never seen a child, or anyone get so many Christmas presents as Kaleigh did yesterday. We didn't get her much but Jerry's parents went waaaayyyy overboard. Their excuse was that it was her first Christmas.

Jerry had to work today, but he slept in and went in later, but he will be home normal time. There usually aren't many people at work the day after a holiday.

I'll post more when I wake up. Even the caffeine isn't helping.

Tomorrow night it is off to a freinds house. Saturday is a first birthday party. Monday is Kaleigh's 2nd hepatitis shot. Tuesday is NYE at a friends house. Wednesday is New Year's and I have to work.

Hello to all. Had a wonderful Christmas and hope all of you did, too. Sorry Garry had to work. That had to be very hard. I know my dad, as a police officer, worked a lot of Christmas Days. As a detective, he was always off.

Darren, you are most certainly welcome. As everyone stated, make sure you check back in when you get back. We want to hear every detail!

Sally, have a wonderful time. I think going with your daughter will be nice. You will certainly enjoy it. Hope it won't be as cold for you as it was for us last January. Piercing cold winds in Florida and the Bahamas.

Gee, most of you got snow. Even though I hate driving in it, I love the snowy days. We REALLY need the moisture.

Ted is home so I will go keep him company. Until later...........

Well to keep you all informed an updated here is some info on my cruise planning...

1) Drinks for Disboards....

After ensuring I have one drink for everyone from our group, thats around 25 drinks (not including the kids!) You may find me rolling around deck 9 or jumping overboard!!!

2) Washing hands....

Handwashing Schedule: board ship - wash hands, enter stateroom - wash hands, dress for dinner - wash hands, enter dining room - wash hands, leave dining room - wash hands, go

Back to work today with one major problem......our computers were down and I couldn't get to the boards!!

Sorry that you had to work yesterday Garry!! But, someone must keep the rest of us safe and sound, right?? ;)

Happy Boxing Day, Darren!! I hope that you have a great trip!! I am sure that each and everyone one of us would love to be smuggled on board in his luggage!!

Have a great night everyone!!

Laurie

Look at all of us on AIM right now!!!!!!! Are we all posting!!!

Darren...look out for those drinks we don't want you to fall overboard!!!! LOL!! Bring gloves!! That way your hands won't get chapped.

Not much new here today. I just found out that although the Sr director and VP of our division approved a new higher level position for me (more pay) HR compensation wouldn't agree to it. I may just have to go job hunting!! My manager was not pleased and neither was I. Oh well....

Hi everybody! Busy, busy. Our Christmas Eve with my Dad and Step-Mom went better than ever, and Christmas Day's events were wonderful as well. I was on call for Christmas Day and wasn't called in at all! Wow. I had call last Saturday and was there for 10 hours. Such a deal.

My cousins returned from the Ukraine with their second adopted daughter. We got to meet her at Christmas dinner. Oksana is 7 but almost as tall and thin as Katie. She speaks no English yet, but Katie just took her under her wing and they are now bosom buddies. Katie can be so sweet sometimes. She just blows me away. When we did foster care, Katie would give the new kids a tour of the house and show them their room, etc. Those kids were so comfortable, so quickly in our house. OK, I've drifted into the bragging zone, sorry LOL.

Sandy, Yes. It's time to do lunch! Mon thru Thursday of next week ... pick a day. Barb, are you off work any of those days??? Since you worked over the holiday and all.

Took me a few pages to catch up, but it looks like everyone's doing well. Just that 'Big Guy' needs to beat that cold. Hope he's on the mend, Julie.

We're off to the mountains for the weekend after I get off work Friday, so I'll check back in with you all Monday. Thanks for the compliments on Katie's poem. It kind-of missed the 'reason for the season' but I didn't want to be a tough critic. LOL I'll pass on the one she wrote for a Girl Scout badge on Patriotism if I can find it still in the word processor.
See ya'll. Take good care. Lori

Freedom feels like this
by Katie Medina

The wind in my hair
Traveling where ever I want
Weeping for a soldier’s lost life
Freedom feels like this

My class saying the Pledge of Allegiance
Crowds cheering at a baseball game
The Blue Angels’ jets, roaring past an airshow
Freedom sounds like this

Wild horses
Full shelves at the bookstore
4th of July fireworks, our flag waving strong
Freedom looks like this

Pleasure,
Pride,
and Sacrifice
I think Freedom feels like this

Lori- You have every right to brag!!! Your Katie is a sweetheart as is Cody

And of course all the cruise kids...too many to mention by name! I only hope my grandchild...who did not cooperate for the ultrasound therefore we still don't know the gender...will turn out as nice as all your children.

I wish I was going to the Mountains!!!! What are mountains??? Southern NJ is VERY flat.
