We are definitely planning a trip to Disney next December. The last time we went in December, it was an el nino year and it just poured the whole time. Epcot was flooded! The entrance to our resort was flooded along with most of the ponds.

Kaleigh: I hate trimming fingernails!!!!!!!! They grow so fast and need to be done almost every other day.

I got my Christmas cards done. They will be mailed tomorrow.

Maybe DU can set us up with a group discount for October 2004?

Hi all! The 20th it is!!!!!!!!!!! Gifts will be open lets say 7:00 ish eastern time or is that a bad time?

I had a bad day today! I went to the Disney Store today to get my copy of Lilo and Stitch and fell in the mall (I gave it a 4 for grace and 9 for looking like a total idiot!) and twisted my left ankle. I have twisted ankles before, but this one really smarts!!!!!! I did get my copy of Lilo and two mini Christmas trees for the kids. One was a princess tree (pink with the princess's pictures for ornaments along with 6 plastic ball ornaments with thier names on it. The other was a Buzz lightyear tree for the big guy! It is blue with the same type of picture ornaments with the toy story characters and the plastic ball ones with names on them. They are really cute and in each of their rooms so they will leave MY tree alone in the living room!
Then, when Garry went to work, I was going to snow blow the driveway because of the snow we got (yeah! I know - sorry Denine you don't like it) and the snowblower wouldn't work! So I shoveled part of the drive on a bad ankle. Now I am paying for that. I don't complain too much about something hurting (I usually don't say anything and become a royal B*****) but this is killing me!

Re: Packages I'm thinking we should aim packages to arrive on/by the 14th since the Dudettes don't get back until the 13th. Do you all have someone to sign for the boxes if they were to arrive while you are gone? Diana is a separate situation since she's traveling then. I think opening on 18th or 19 works best for me, as I don't get home from work on Fridays now until 9pm and then I know I'll be whooped and the kids will be all over me with the 'evening news'. Can we see if everyone has them by the 19th, and if not, I'll just try my best to be home and online whenever you say.
Does everyone have the AOL chat thing now, or will we communicate on the thread here? We could always copy/paste the event onto here from there, for posterity's sake.

Is this recipe book for desserts? I think I can come up with a good cookie or side dish. Oh, I should clarify that, considering I'm the one that eats pecan pie for breakfast... I could supply the recipe for a lovely vegetable side dish, if the book is not focusing primarily on breakfast -- I mean, dessert, items.

I'm gonna get mushy on you guys here. I was just thinking of how I can pull off making it to a reunion cruise. I can think of at least 20 vacations I'd rather do with the money than another DCL, but here I am, wanting to go anyway, just to see all of you again. Oh, a fantasy is coming up... I go on the cruise, and the kids stay home with Grandma. (They'd kill me ... the kids would be mad, too) Ok, Oh, even better. Just I go! Can I run away from home for a week and be DD#4 ?!?!? Humm, we'd be at sea when Ben first noticed. You don't think he could have me physically pulled from the ship? I'll keep working on that one.

1 and 1/2 sick days left as of now. As of end of day, there will only be 1/2 day left. YES, Bonnie, I am going to stay home in bed today. Paul is going to take Turner to school and probably pick him up early when they cancel school when the ice hits.

They're saying we could get up to 2 inches of ice accumulation on everything by tomorrow morning. Right now all is dry!! That forecast was enough for me to decide to keep my bronchitis-self home again today.

When I feel better, I'll pass on my recipe(s).

Lori: Dodger Dog is a Siberian Husky & I could have sent him to you for a real "show & tell" with the report! I think it would have been an "F". He is pretty uncontrollable.

I asked for snow & low and behold we are supposed to get it tomorrow but the forecasters have cried wolf before. Just as long as it doesn't interfere with my flight I don't care.

I personally don't care for it Garry, but as we were driving back to Wisconsin after the cruise, John was getting a sugar high and then wanted to sleep all the time ---- so I had to drive. I tried to tell him that a bag of twizzlers and 3 Bun bars doesn't constitute a meal!! So, the next time we pulled over, I bought cheese, crackers, and ...................BEEF JERKY!! It made our trip complete!! LOL (it was the only time in my life I even bought the stuff) What a fond memory......now Garry EVERY TIME I see Beef Jerky I will think of you!!

Ok my newest aventure I am taking on is a surprise trip to Disney next December right after Christmas. I want to be there on New Years eve. ( Jaymee's birthday) I have to finalize the DVC club plans first. is it a long process?? All the paperwork??
