First some well wishes.......

I still am having a hard time fighting this respiratory flu. I guess that since I have asthma it is just going to take a little longer, and a little more codeine. I had a great time chatting with you guys on Saturday night.....even though I couldn't partake in the hard stuff.

The show on Sunday was awesome. The drive there however, was horrible. We had terrible fog and freezing rain on the way there and it was snowing on the way home. Kristen was really surprised by the show!!! But she was also sad that she didn't get to visit John's aunt. (Mamma Mia more than made up for it!!)
John really liked the show a lot and we heard that it is coming to Chicago this summer and he is thinking of surprising his sisters with tickets!!

Have a good rest of the week everyone....I will check in again soon......but its off to bed for now......I am exhausted!!

Good Evening Everyone! The Big Guy thatnks you all for the well wishes! We had a very nice day today! The Bigy GUy got a few elmo movies and a "motorcycle big wheel" that has police sounds when you push buttons. He likes it and so does Makenzie! She really did good today too. She knew it was Garry's birthday and not hers. She didn't ask for a present and did really well when he opened his. I was very proud of her because I know that little ones have a hard time when they aren't the ones opening. We will be having the "family" (my parents, his dad, my brother and his family etc) party on sunday.

Where are you Bonnie? I agree with Sandy that you haven't been posting like you were in the past. Don't you love us anymore? Just kidding, I know that OTHER things have been occupying you time.

Laurie, I loved the old ladies email and the birthday wish email. I got a good laugh.

Susan, loved the picture of Cinderella's castle!

Darren, WHERE ARE YOU? We are dying to know more! You will have to check in with us before you leave.

p.s. Sandy, the Big Guy didn't get any glasses today. He's waiting to see what kind of glasses you got for him for next cruise! LOL

Cody was awarded his Tiger badge tonight at the blue and gold ceremony. He's SO proud! This should be a good 'first' for him, and send him on his way to staying in the scouts for a while.

Well, that show was silly. I did like that house in Hawaii, however!

Yeah, there are all kinds of scams with cell phones. Punching certain numbers when you're called will allow the caller to access your number and use for long distance, etc. This applies to phones at home as well.

As far as "unmarked" police cars go, I don't know of any department that would have someone in a truly "unmarked" cruiser doing traffic stops. Most will at least have a portable light on top of the roof. And most will have "Police" on them somewhere visible. Most would-be attackers won't chance having a light on the roof for fear of getting caught by a real officer, but will keep it inside the car.

Congrats, Cody. You'll be a WOLF soon and on your way to EAGLE!! My nephew is getting his EAGLE award on Sunday and we are going to a big dinner and reception for him Saturday night.

Sandy - sorry you have been talking to yourself. We had hockey practice last evening and then I was just too tired to log in before bed.

As for the cruise in 2004, you all make your plans. If we are able to join you then GREAT. If not, we will be sad. But, we can't commit yet since we have the cruise planned for this November to get through first. We'll do our best since you guys are family!!

DARREN - have you gotten the medical a police background checks completed? Any more news? Have you told Ronald McD that you're moving on? We need more news from you - I know you have got to be busy getting all kinds of things in order before you leave. But, please check in when you can.

Gotta go get ready for work. I have a horrendous day ahead of me. But, I took tomorrow off since Turner has a teacher work day and I need to gather tax stuff for Paul's business and our personal taxes. (Yuck!)

Have been busy lately and haven't been able to sign on.

However, Jerry made our December reservations!!!!!!!!! We are going Nov 30 through Dec 9th. I need to make a new counter.

We are getting sprung! My parents are going to babysit on Saturday so we can have an evening to ourselves for the 1st time since we brought Kaleigh home. I can't wait!

More snow on the way tonight. Is it May yet?

We need to cruise either cruises leaving Oct 23 or Oct 30th of 2004 because of Kristens break from school. She is off on Oct 28 & 29th and we can use these as cruising days or travel days since we drive. I would rather do the Western if possible since we have not done that before. Let me know what you find out!!

We did get your phone message on Saturday!! We only have one phone line so I was still online when you and Ted were trying to call!! You guys are a hoot!!

We aren't particular about which cruise to take. We have been the Eastern route 3 times and the Western route twice. However, we have never made it in to Grand Cayman.

Sandy: You better not be complaining about the snow. You have been begging for it all winter!!!!!!

Sorry my posting is a bit irratic I just seem to be so busy at the moment!

Firstly I never go chance to say CONGRATULATIONS BONNIE on your new job!!!

Well here's the update:

I have now had my medical. That was great fun, I had to go down to London. Firstly I had a chest x-ray, then a hearing test, an eye test, they took my blood pressure and got my height and weight. Followed by an full body examination, a drugs test and finally he took some blood for a HIV test. Everything went well and I've just got to wait a few days for the blood test to come back.

My background check is causing me a bit of trouble though. The police told me that there wasn't much chance of me getting it back within three weeks, but luckly DCL gave me the details of an agency that is now speeding it through for me so hopefully I'll have it back in just over a week (or less).

Once that is sorted I'll be able to book my visa interveiw, yes I have to go back down to London again to have an interview at the US Embassy before they'll give me my visa.

So I'm just keeping my fingers crossed, hoping all will go smoothly so that I can definatly go out on February 25th - joining the Disney Magic on March 1st.

Finally, I'm setting up a new e-mail address with hotmail which i'll be able to access from the ship so I'll definatly be able to keep in touch with you all! I'll send the address to you all soon!

It is snowing again. Tonight's low is to be -3. Brrrrrr. I have a feeling Sally and Barb are snowed in. I believe they got more snow than we did this time. Ted's dad got 16". Wow! Lori-he lives on Lookout.
