Welcome Cheri! Can't help you in the kid dept. My girls are 24 and only one going.

Crossing my fingers for Castaway Cay. That is my favorite part of the cruise. We were there right after another hurricane hit a few years ago. If I remember correctly it was about 5 years ago. Disney worked hard and furious and got it back up in no time.

Carla and Heidi, we might not have the horrible hurricanes but mother nature can sure punch out some nasty blizzards for us. Remember shoveling the 36" a couple of years ago, Heidi?

We have been very fortunate so far, and have never missed CC on any of our DCL cruises. But, I'll take what I can get. If I have to settle for another sea day aboard the Disney Magic, oh well !

We'd just have to have a second DIS party I guess.

After flipping through some of the past posts, I noticed sosmething about "walking around with silly smiles on our faces with drinks in our hands." At last! I've found my place!

You sound like a great group of party animals ready for a good time. I always bring lot's of cd's for the room, so maybe after your "wine and cheese" night, you can margarita and guacamole & salsa in our suite before dinner some night. (I'm sooo glad my kids love the kid's club!)

My kids are DD 6 and DS 11. PM me if your kids want to email and get acquainted before getting on board. Last year my son liked having a ready made posse.

Sandy, Oh yeah, I remember that snow, killed a bunch of trees, one across the street came up by the roots and filled half the street. Even the guy down the block with the Humvee couldn't get out. We had abandoned cars for a week until our friendly local water board member used a back hoe. (We are unincorporated Arapahoe County, so low folks on the totem pole.) Could barely cross country ski through the mess.

Cheri, I'll get my guy on the email. Welcome to you and Sandy. Sandy PM me with the data and we will get a REAL boy (and any young ladies who are interested) Round Robin going.

Is the wine party before or after one of the duty free ports? Need cheap if we are talking a case admission price!

My DW was nervous too, and she LOVED the experience! So did I. Very peaceful. Seeing the Magic from a couple hundred feet up is amazing. You might have a few jitters at first, but it is SO worth it. Breathtaking!!!

Cheri - We are in the dry central valley of CA. Near Fresno. I must say, we love it here!! Cool mountains 2 hours northeast, the beautiful Pacific Coast 1.5 hours west, and hot and sunny summers right here, with no stinkin' hurricanes!!



Obviously you have a suite, too. Sweet. There will be parties all week long on board. So who needs ports of call anyway? :thewave:

We have a DS 12. He will be on the cruise with us! As will our DD 9.

Beano..........OK, I'm going to see if Southern Liquor Distrib. will ship directly to our stateroom.

Also, I noticed that you will be getting OFF the Magic in CA, the day we will get on! We are on the 7/2/05 Magic, after 3 days in Disneyland.

I HAD this on my countdown timer.......but now it looks like I have lost BOTH of my timers.

Looks like Frances will skim by us this weekend. They have cancelled our schools for tomorrow, to help make room for South FL residents.

Getting so excited. I keep saying that I can't wait til school start's (kid's start Sept. 7th), because I too can say we leave next month! The kid's keep looking at me wierd, though. THEY CAN wait. For school, that is.

Boy, things are starting to go crazy around my house now that school has started -- hope everyone is doing fine! I cannot believe that cruise time is getting so close.

I have yet to book my transportation or my shore excursions...guess I need to get busy!

How many 5-7 year old girls do we have? I have one (DD6) and then a younger (DD4) who will be in the younger group. Wow, thats alotta girls!

Okay, in case this weekend gets crazy (I will actually be home) everyone have a fun and SAFE Labor Day weekend, and to the Floridians here, I hope Frances stays away!

DH told the kids tonight and they are ape sh*t! "When? Where? Who are we gonna meet?" Cassie, 6, wants to meet everyone, so send those emails. Timmy is so embarrassed ("Geez! Mom!") But, anyway. I set up "cruisekids@yahoo.com" for any kids that want to talk ahead of time.

So, what cool things are you doing with the 5-10 year old set? I've heard the dolphin thing is over their heads. I haven't booked anything, so send all your ideas! I don't plan on sitting down for 7 days, unless it is in a deck chair with a drink, with an umbrella in it

And you're right - it IS a blast... just don't use language like "Apesh*t" in front of Tim and I. We're sensitive.

Glad we're not going next week - their cruise has been shortened to 5 days 'cuz of the hurricane. Bummer. This week's cruise was extended to 9 days! It might mess up travel plans, but oh well!

I'll just take a nice, normal 7-day cruise with DIS friends, thank you.

It's been awhile since we were able to chat. Glad you're around to post on the thread, at least we can keep up that way.

Really looking forward to seeing you and sharing some laughs.

Now...about that wine... ...I personally love the sweet dessert wines...and I'll be bringing at least a couple of those bottles just for myself...but I've like to bring something to share too....so what does everyone else tend to lean toward...whites, reds, blushes...sparkling??? Since I'm driving this year, now that we live closer, no need to spend the extra dough on flights...we should be able to pack a little more than usual.

RJ: I'm also really looking forward to doing the MNSSHP with you guys and T&K. Can we say...Sugar Rush!

Worked today, off tomorrow & then work Monday & Tuesday. You can tell who the nurses are! Planning on going to Cape May tomorrow to visit with my friend - maybe bike ride or go to beach & definitely have a cookout.

RJ: I'm an "ASTI" kind of girl. I love anything sparking! I really don't care for the dark wines like the Merlots.

Still thinking & praying for our little Sophie God will be done. I suppose it's in His hands now.

Thinking of all you poor Floridians - enough is enough!
