Roll call for 10/29/09 3 night Bahamian - General chit chat

From reading earlier posts, I remember there being some indecision about which night would be pirate night and what might be planned for Halloween, etc. I just got a message from my TA (who ROCKS, by the way) and she said that she spoke to DCL and there are lots of Spooktacular Events planned onboard, but we won't find out about them until we get our planning paperwork. This doesn't really answer any questions for me, but she said we will not be disappointed!

Thanks for the info on our cruise, btw does anyone know when we will get our planning paperwork? Also, do any of you know if the water is cold at Castaway at the end of Oct? My kids both have wet suits but I wasn't going to bring them unless we will need them. They take up alot of space in our bags (the wetsuits not the kids!) Can't wait for Oct. it's our next trip to the Mouse and our FIRST DISNEY CRUISE woo-hoo!

sdchickie - our first disney cruise was the second week on October a few years ago. CC was hot and humid for us and the water was quite warm - reminded me of the beach in July. I can't imagine how 2 weeks could make too much of a difference, but someone who has traveled closer to our date might know better. Another idea is to check the trip reports being posted in the weeks prior to our cruise. Hope this helps!!

I am about halfway done with the sewing of my Briar Rose costume (if we miss the meet and greet and you see a plus size brunette Briar Rose with a totally home made outfit, please say hi! ).

I managed to figure out the corset piece and the skirt, which all on itself is a victory since I ended up making up the patterns for both completely and it is my first time ever sewing (you totally see a bunch of seams done over, but the fabric is forgiving so it looks decent... or so am I making myself believe). I still have the shirt left, thank goodness I started so early, I had to re-do the skirt once already, the first one was terrible, looked like someone had stuffed a sack of potatoes with fireworks and made it explode.

We have our paperwork from our TA and our stateroom is number 8002. I hope I can get in on the FE! We are looking forward to another hot week in SC. I'd love to say that its going to cool down soon, but that would be a lie. Cooler weather won't hit us til about November. I remember giving out freeze pops one Halloween - It was a big hit! All the kids were hot in their costumes. That may be an ideas for the Disney folks since it will still be warm in the Bahamas!

well - today is the first day since ummmm April that I didn't break a sweat at recess! It barely made it to 80 which is VERY uncommon for SC this time of year. The people at Myrtle Beach are hating this mild weather, but have no fear, hot and muggy will return by the weekend! If you are enjoying this mild weather in your part of the country - WOO HOO! if not, don't hate us, we are not used to this and know that it will not last. Hope everyone is well!

I'm here. Mostly in lurk mode due to work and my ongoing Star Wars autograph signings I oversee.

Los Prices are looking forward -- and counting down days -- to this cruise. We're startin' to pick out the fun stuff for the FE's and we just got our bulk lot of pins so DD Alannah can trade to her heart's content

Morning all - well, it's September so I can finally say 'We're cruising next month' Oh yeah, baby. We are so ready for this vacation, it's been a pretty busy year for us and the girls have been worlking hard at school so we all deserve a break. It will have been 18 months since our last trip to WDW so we are so excited. Our countdown chart (which I have a picture of in my pre-trippy, for anyone who is interested) kicks off on Sunday and the kids can't wait to get started on it.

Denver is a rockstar. Rockstars get the goods. Plus, he does such good work as a working dog, he deserves to be spoiled in his "off time."

Helps that Los Prices are also major animal lovers, heh.

On another note, we're putting final touches on our Halloween gear...gonna have another batch of kewl costumes this year. We're doin' The World before the cruise, so that means our third year in a row at MNSSHP!

Hey guys! I am back!
Just thought I would say hi.

Gary, I will PM you to get that web address, my DH loves SW too, not as much as Star Trek I am affraid (don't fight now! ) But loves it nonetheless.

His cruise costume is actually SW inspired, he came up with it the other day, it'll be very funny.

Stress is in the high levels at work, can't wait for this cruise! I am so excited to learn about the new itineraries for 2011 and trying to book a trip on the Dream.

So... what's the final word on Denver's costume? Do we know yet? The people demand to know

Oh 2011 ...when will they release that? I live close to where they r coming in 2011 for Ca crusing i wonder if there will be a sailing from Orlando to here ... like a repositioning cruise you know ? i would LOVE to get in on that one !!! we will have to wait and see but im DEF booking 2011 here in Ca cant go without my anual florida halloween wonder cruise though so who knows what we will do
i cant WAIT this cruise is sooooo needed ....
